I Will Never Stop Cooking For My Bofriend – Nana Aba Anamoah

Nana Aba Anamoah has words for the Pepper Dem Gang.

Nana Aba Anamoah has revealed that she finds nothing wrong with cooking for her partner. In fact, she would continue to do so, irrespective of criticism from hardline feminists.

Her comments come about after feminist group, Pepper Dem Gang, said it was slavery for a woman to cook for a partner.

According to the GhOne Tv presenter, it’s unacceptable to describe a woman cooking for the boyfriend as an act of slavery.

She made these statements on Joy FM. It was on the issue of feminism and the combative style of the Pepper Dem Gang.

According to her, she knows it is a woman’s duty to cook for the husband just as it is the husband’s duty to provide for the woman.

Cooking doesn’t make me a slave – Nana Aba Anamoah

“It is unacceptable to think that cooking for your man makes you a slave. I cook for my boyfriend and will never stop cooking for him. I don’t understand why there should be a fight between men and women. We all have our roles to play.

If I need a new car, I’m not going to use my money to buy it. I won’t use my money to buy clothes. My husband must buy it for me. In my experience, men have been more helpful to me than women. Women say they should support other women, but they are the ones hurting other women the most.”

Nana Aba joined the Sugardem GH squad on Valentine’s Day to cook for men as part of planned activities to mark the day.

Akwasi Frimpong Places Last At Winter Olympics But Still Makes Ghana Proud

Akwasi Frimpong’s Olympic dreams has been cut short.

Ghana’s Akwasi Frimpong finished last in his Olympic debut. However, he was a smash-hit with his plucky efforts in the skeleton on Friday.

Despite freezing temperatures, Frimpong has lit up the Olympic skeleton competition.

He trailed home in 30th position. He was over 11 seconds behind eventual winner Yun Sung-bin of South Korea after his third and final run. However, he still feels like a champion.

The Olympian spent two years selling vacuum cleaners door-to-door to finance his dream. He stated that he can’t wait to take a break on a beach somewhere.

Akwasi Frimpong made these statements to the AFP.

“I’m going to take my wife on vacation,” Frimpong told AFP.

“I don’t know where yet, but somewhere warm — I want the sun and the sand. Hopefully, I can surprise her by taking her somewhere like Hawaii. Or maybe the Dominican Republic, where we went on honeymoon.”

“I came last but the most important thing is that I won the hearts of the people,” said Frimpong, who previously failed to qualify for the Olympics as a sprinter and in bobsleigh.

“The Olympic experience was awesome. I’ve never been in a place where so many people are cheering you on,” he added after becoming only the second athlete from Ghana to compete at a Winter Games.

“You feel like you’re a gold medallist, that’s how they make you feel each run. It’s incredible.”

“It was such an emotional moment for me because I remember in July 2015 my wife told me she didn’t want me to be 99 years old and still chasing my Olympic dream,” said Frimpong, who moved to the Netherlands when he was just eight.

“My wife wanted me to go after it and without her support and her pushing me, doing two, three jobs while she was pregnant, I wouldn’t be here today.”

Moreover, Frimpong struggled to convince people to sponsor his Olympic dreams. He is the second Ghanaian to participate in the Winter Olympics behind Ghana’s “Snow Leopard” Kwame Nkrumah-Acheampong. He competed in slalom skiing at the 2010 Vancouver Games.

Furthermore, Frimpong already wants more of the adventure.

“I still have a lot to improve on. I came last but it doesn’t matter. I’ve only been doing it for a year and a half.

The rest of the world doesn’t understand the work you have to do behind the scenes.

But I know what it takes to get here and I’m just really eager and excited for the next four years.”

4 Delicious And Quick-To Prepare Banana Recipes

Bananas are one of the world’s most appealing fruits

When it comes to cooking with fruits, most of us can’t help but think of salads and desserts like puddings and pies. Some may say that a fruit is best eaten raw or may be included in shakes and smoothies. You’d be surprised to know that fruits like bananas are widely used in savoury dishes as well. Talking of bananas, very few people know that the fruit actually belongs to the family of berries!

High in fibre, bananas are great for digestion and aid in the growth of good gut bacteria. Keep a couple of them tucked in your bag to tame those untimely, mid-meals hunger attacks. Bananas are also a good source of B-vitamins, magnesium and antioxidants. We know that bananas are rich in Vitamin C but do you know that they act as a great stress fighting nutrient? Bananas help in repairing the cell damage caused due to stress.

1. Banana-ChocolatePudding Cake

Banana recipes banana muffin

A cross between a mouse, pudding, and molten lava cake, this banana-chocolate cake is sure to please—both your tastebuds and your waistline. Using bananas as a substitute for flour, blend 2 very ripe bananas in a food processor, then add in an egg, ½ teaspoon vanilla, a tablespoon maple syrup, and ¼ teaspoon fine salt, blend until smooth. Separately, melt 5 ounces of dark chocolate in the microwave, then stir into the banana mixture. Beat the whites from two eggs in a separate mixture until stiff peaks, then fold into the chocolate banana mixture. Pour into a greased or parchment-paper-lined, 8-inch round baking pan and bake for 25 minutes in a 375 degree oven. This high-protein, low-carb treat will make its way onto your dessert plate more than once.

2. Sweeten Up Your Oatmeal

Banana recipes oatmeal

Instead of adding empty calories like refined white sugars that only spike your blood sugar and cause it to come crashing down soon after, why not flavor your oatmeal with bananas? Cut up half a banana, mash it with a fork, and then fold it into your favorite bowl of steel cut oats along with a sprinkling of cinnamon. This cut of oats is lower on the glycemic index than rolled or instant oats, meaning they’ll keep you fuller, longer. Always in a rush in the morning? Make them overnight oats style! Just boil 4 cups of water in a pot. Add one cup of steel-cut oats and simmer for 1 minute. Cover the pot, allow it to cool, and then store overnight in the fridge.

3. Banana Puree

Banana recipes smoothies

Few people have made a smoothie without this elongated fruit, but have you ever tried making the frozen blend with a green banana? Prior to ripening, bananas are rich in resistant starch, a hard-to-find form of fiber that digests slowly for prolonged feelings of fullness and more efficient fat oxidation. Oh, and did we also mention it’s good for gut health? Resistant starches feed the beneficial bacteria in your belly, which then convert the starches into anti-inflammatory compounds that help to suppress your appetite and bolster your immune system. For an exotic blend, try combining ½ frozen banana, ½ cup frozen pineapple, ½ teaspoon ground turmeric, ½-inch piece fresh ginger (peeled and chopped), the juice of half a lime, and 1 cup coconut water.

4. Banana Sushi

Banana recipes banana sushi

Say hello to a waistline-friendly oatmeal cookie. Free of blood-sugar-spiking refined white flour or refined sugar, these cookies get all their starch from bananas and extra fiber from the oats. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Mash three bananas in a bowl, then add ¼ cup melted coconut oil, 1-½ cups rolled oats, ¼ cup chopped walnuts a tablespoon ground flaxseed, a teaspoon of vanilla extract, and ½ a teaspoon each of cinnamon and salt. Stir well, roll into cookies, and bake for 25 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.

It’s Better To Date Your Artiste – Mark Okraku-Mantey

Okraku-Mantey is echoing Bulldog’s sentiments.

Veteran Ghanaian music executive, Mark Okraku Mantey agrees with Bulldog’s controversial comments. According to Bulldog, it is better if a manager dates their female artist.

Furthermore, it seems that Okraku-Mantey has reasons for his agreement. He said it is frustrating to invest a lot in an artist only to have her under the control of another man. This might be due to the nature of their relationship.

However, he said he has never dated any female artist in his 20 years of management. The CEO of Slip said he understands the argument people make for that.

‘Some man will call the shots because they’re married’ – Okraku-Mantey

“Some man will sit in his house and take decisions for you because you have invested in his wife. He will call the shots. Because your money is in there, you will conform whether it will help your investment or not, or else the man will say she won’t work with the manager anymore.

I’m talking based on the environment as in Ghana.”

His comments echo those of BullHaus CEO Bulldog, who recently said a manager can only properly manage a female artist by sleeping with them.

I had to contemplate about it for over a month and I asked myself that if I should cut the locks, what will be my next image, should I have to strip off my whole hair? Then I said to myself, if I had to chop off the locks, then I think I’ll go for this cute afro.”

In response, Kumchahcha said Patapaa should spare him the blame because he was not with Ebony on her travel to Sunyani.

Prophet Kumchacha was speaking in an exclusive interview on KOFI TV.

He explained that, when Ebony was traveling he was not aware “so why should Patapaa say I am the one who killed Ebony”.

“He is lucky I’m a Prophet, I would’ve sued Patapaa for allegedly saying I killed Ebony” Kumchacha fumed.

Video: I Am Least Perturbed When People Say I’m Illuminati – Sarkodie

Awards-winning Ghanaian Rapper, Sarkodie says he’s no at all worried about rumors of him being a member of the secret society, Illuminati.

Illuminati refers to several groups of both real and fictitious secret society perceived to be controlling events in the world.

It is believed that members possess the deep secrets to acquiring wealth, fame and influence.

He has been rumored to be a member of the secret society since he hit the limelight.

Although he released a song strategically titled ‘Illuminati’ in a bid to dispel the rumors. That however did not seem to have worked.

In the song, Sakordie mentioned he would have been an owner of an estate in Hawaii had he been a member of the secret society.

Those with little insight into such secret groups indicate that Sarkodie uses the symbol of the Illuminati in almost all his music videos.

Sarkodie in a recent interview on ‘The Hard Truth’ on Joy News channel suggested that although he is not affiliated to the group, the tag makes him feel positive about his achievements.

Sark’s speech;

“I take it in a positive way…For [people] to make that comparison then it should tell you where you are. I am worried more [about] people who care about me, not what is said about me…I am more worried about family members who [broke down over the Illuminati tag] and it got to them.

“That was the only reason why I did the song. But personally, I don’t care. I think it is a good situation to be in [when] people feel like there is something more than just talent that can make you who you are.” He told show host Akosua Konadu.
