‘Waiting For Ryn’ captures Yvonne’s Journey through pregnancy and childbirth and is expected to be aired soon.

In the  video, she shares her experience as a first time mom, how she went through the entire process from pregnancy to the point where she gave birth.

Reports stated that Yvonne’s baby daddy, a photographer, Jamie Roberts, who hails from Wales was already a married man.

Some of the known faces in the reality show include Jamie Roberts, Margaret Gaddy (Nelson’s mother), John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Sammy Forson, Yvonne Okoro and Prince David Osei.

Naa is a Ghanaian Actress and Radio/ TV Broadcaster . She’s best known for starring in the Perfect Picture (2009), by Award Winning Director Shirley Frimpong-Manso and Iroko TV’s Poisoned Bait. She’s married with a son.

8. Bisa Kdei

Ronald Kweku Dei his real name. Bisa is a Ghanaian native solo singer and record producer from Eastern Region.

He is the first Ghanaian artiste to break into the limelight through a movie sound track.

He has received numerous industry awards including the best Movie soundtrack of the year, both at the 2012 Ghana Movie Awards and the Kumasi Based Movie Awards.

Gallaxy Kicked Off Record Label For Being Liars, Cheats And Bad Investments

The year isn’t starting well for Gallaxy.

Gallaxy has been thrown out of their record label, Lyf Line Entertainment. This was the record label which signed them after they said goodbye to Habour City Recordz.

Cross Dhat, one of the owners of Lyf Line Entertainment described his former artistes as ungrateful, cheap, greedy, liars and lazy musicians.

He made these comments in an interview with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM in Accra.

Furthermore, he accused the group members of squandering money meant for pushing their brand.

Gallaxy’s Actions

“If you give them money for promotion, they will take, spend it and will tell us they have gone for promotion. The radio presenters will later come to us requesting for something whilst we have given cash to Gallaxy for that purpose. We had several calls of that nature and we got to know that they have been spending the money we have given to them for promotion and stuffs.” 

Moreover, Gallaxy had been going behind management’s back to play shows and keeping the proceeds to themselves.

Cross Dhat disclosed that they initially did not want to invest in the group. However, they relented and worked with them.

According to him, both sides had a verbal contract. Also, they were willing to sign a five-year deal until the boys started misbehaving.

 

Cross reiterated that the record label has been in existence for two years. He added that they drove the group to Togo to buy costumes for them to push their brand.

When questioned why they did not fly the two to Dubai for the shopping, the man replied that they are cheap musicians so there was no need in spending such a huge amount on them for the Dubai trip just to buy clothes.

Abraham Atta, Iddris Elba, Others Have still Not Received The Awards Plaque They Won In 2015 From GMA- Mawuko Kuadzi

Ghanaian Casting Director and CEO of MK Casting has expressed his utmost disappointment at the Ghana Movie Awards(GMA) Industry.

According to him, he is happy the event couldn’t take place last year. This he stated was because even 2015 winners are yet to receive their awards. More so, after giving awards on stage, organizers take them backstage and never return them to their rightful owners. Mawuko Kuadzi wrote on his official Instagram page.

‘Last year, I am glad Ghana Movie Awards didn’t happen because awards would be given and taken backstage and you will never get it’, he wrote.

The man behind the casting of the award-winning movie “Beast Of No Nation”, again stated some past winners who were part of the movie have still not received their plaques since 2015.

“In 2015 Abraham Attah,Idris Elba, Cary Fukunaga and host of people who worked so hard on Beasts of No Nation were named winners of various categories but till today 2018, they have still not received their awards.”

He added that several efforts to retrieve the awards by the winners have all proved futile.

The Ghana Movie Awards is an annual film award to recognize excellence in the Ghanaian film industry.

Since 2010, the scheme has brought vibrancy to the movie industry whilst elevating its status to a global audience.
However, just like other prestigious awards in the country, the scheme comes with its own shortcomings.

Mawuko Kuadzi was however hopeful that Zylofon Media, the new organizers of the annual award will put measures in place to forestall such incidents.

“ Zylofone Media I pray you address this issues or do well not to repeat the same mistake as we have great respect for your outfit. Ghana Movie Awards lost it and it gives you a lot of work to do. But we believe what you are capable of doing,” he added.

Samira Yakubu threw a princess themed party for her daughter who turned one. Mandeaya is the daughter of award-winning movie costumier and manager of Jackie Appiah.

She turned one year old on Friday, January 5. However, the princess themed birthday celebration took place on Saturday, January 6 at Samira’s home on the Spintex Road.

Jackie Appiah was present at the party.

Moreover, others in attendance included Kalsoume Sinare, Kafui Danku and several others.

Ebony To Face A Lawsuit For Failing To Attend An Event

Ebony is in hot waters for failing to attend an event she was billed to perform at.

Therefore, Ebony has been threatened with a lawsuit. This was done by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of K Monsi Ventures, Mr Francis Yaw Asare. The reason is Ebony refused to grace a concert she was billed for in the Volta Region.

Mr Asare disclosed that Ebony was paid Ghc35,000 to appear and perform at the concert in Hohoe. However, the 20-year-old artiste failed to honour her part of the bargain.

Mr Asare made the details known Joy Prime’s Entertainment Review ‘The Red Carpet’ show.

Reasons For Lawsuit

According to Mr Francis, he was called a few hours to the commencement of the concert that Ebony was involved in a car accident. Therefore, she wouldn’t be able to honour the show.

He was asked whether he saw proof of the accident. Mr Francis said, ‘there was nothing like that. No pictures, videos to confirm the accident.’

Moreover, Mr Francis added that they had no option than to refund ticket monies to patrons since Ebony failed to come. He said the show was a total failure.

“On the day of the show, everything was on point until we were told late that Ebony was involved in a motor accident between 5:30 to 6 pm. Therefore we agreed to refund the money to the audience because the place was packed. It was 30cedis. We paid everyone. We paid her 35,000 Ghana Cedis to perform”

 

Interestingly, Ebony would be ‘slapped’ with a lawsuit for wasting time, equipment and production cost and also dragging the image of organizers in the mud even though Ebony has refunded the money.

“Ebony took us for granted and it shouldn’t be so. We will go to court. We are suing her…,” Mr Francis concluded.

Martin Amidu Appointed As Special Prosecutor, Subject To Approval

Interesting times are ahead in Ghana. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has named Martin Amidu as the Special Prosecutor.

President Nana Addo announced this at a press conference held at the flagstaff house. He revealed Mr Amidu as his nominee for the office he created. This was after an emergency cabinet meeting at the Flagstaff House.

The Special Prosecutor is to go after government appointees, both past and present, who loot the public purse.

About Martin Amidu

Astonishingly, Martin Amidu is an NDC member. He was a former Attorney General under President John Atta Mills. However, he became a fierce critic of his own party in recent years.

Furthermore, Mr. Amidu earned the nickname ‘Citizen Vigilante’ for his no-nonsense stance. Also, for his campaign against corruption particularly in the NDC administration.

The appointment of Mr. Amidu came as a shock to many. This was because he was never mentioned when names were been bandied around in the media.

About The Office

The President said he received the nomination from the Attorney General Sophia Akuffo.

The Office will have the mandate to investigate and prosecute cases of alleged corruption under the Public Procurement Act 203 Act 63.

Furthermore, it will deal with other corruption-related offenses implicating public officers, political office holders and their accomplices in the public sector.

Also, the Prosecutor will be mandated to trace and recover the proceeds of corruption.

Amidu’s appointment would be subject to Parliamentary approval.

 

 

 

Juliet Ibrahim And Iceberg Divulge The Genesis Of Their Love

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim and her Nigerian boyfriend Iceberg Slim, have finally revealed how they met and fell in love.

After months of teasing the public with their relationship and keeping quiet on what brought them together, The two love birds have finally disclosed how they met.

The two made this known in an interview on pulse.com.ng, taking terms to reveal what they admired each other.

According to Iceberg Slim, they met at an event in South Africa, hooked up and one thing led to the other.

“We met in Dublin, South Africa. We were both there working on a project. We were playing music for everyone through our phones and she was in charge. I wanted to connect my phone, so when I connected my phone, she was like I have these songs. I was going to play these songs. For me that was what got it for me, we had a similar taste in music,” he said.

Asked what they liked about each other, Juliet Ibrahim said she liked the Iceberg’s intelligence and self- confidence. Iceberg Slim also mentioned that he liked Juliet for her good heart.

“The first thing that got my attention from her was her kind heart. When we started talking and she began to tell me about the things she has done I just knew that she was a kind person. She was real and down to earth, that was the first thing that caught my attention. She’s cool and we became good friends from there and the relationship just grew. So one thing that I would say about her is her kind heart,” he revealed.

Juliet and Iceberg started making their relationship open last year when Juliet Ibrahim accompanied Iceberg Slim to his mother’s burial. The biggest one was when they both got matching tattoos.

They have since been flooding social media with photos that suggest that they are head over heels in love with each other.

Iceberg Slim, born Olusegun Olowokere in New York City to Nigerian parents, is a Nigerian musician. Some of his songs are; ‘Oluwa’ and ‘Flyer than Most.’

Juliet Ibrahim on the other hand is an award-winning Ghanaian actress. Born in Ghana to a Lebanese father and a Ghanaian mother. She has starred in movies like ‘4 Play,’ ‘Royal Storm’ and ‘Losing You.’

60 High Profiled People To Find Themselves In ‘Hot Soup’ In Anas’ Exposé This Year

Ace Investigative Journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas has warned Ghanaians on the impact of his latest exposé on some high profiled individuals in the country.

According to him, the affected people in the exposé may try fleeing the country to avoid the associated embarrassment that comes along with it.

Anas therefore urged security agencies to elevate their surveillance ahead of the the investigative piece in the course of the year.

The awards-winning Journalist however will not let on the specific time he will release the piece. Instead, he betokened that it will make the year more challenging and a difficult one.

Anas Aremeyaw Anas affirmed that his core principle of naming, shaming and jailing the culprits is still in full force. He therefore cautioned that persons in authority must be watchful. Anas was speaking on Radio A1 in Bolgatanga ahead of The National Media Festival held by The Press Foundation, TPF.

“There will be a lot of dangers this year. It is will not be easy so I advise we should increase our security”, he said.

Anas, will not give details of how the piece looks like and hints of who may be involved. He only hinted that a number of persons in enviable positions will be fired.

“And now about the most challenging work that I’ve done, as I speak to you. Now I’ve some 60 people and I’m not going to tell you what I’m going to do but it is there.

“It is coming and none of the 60 people have done anything good for Ghana,” he added.

Menaye Donkor is a Canadian-born Ghanaian businesswoman, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and former beauty queen who won Miss Universe Ghana 2004. She later represented Ghana in Miss Universe Ghana 2004.

Donkor was born on 20 March 1981 and is the wife of Ghanaian professional footballer Sulley Muntari.
They have a very cute and handsome son Jamal Krasie Muntari who was born on July 7, 2015.

It Makes No Sense To Ask Kwasi Ernest Why He Went For The Refund – Joyce Blessing

Songstress Joyce Blessing has confirmed that Kwasi Ernest has taken back the money for her failed performance.

Coincidentally, Kwasi Ernest used to be her manager. The money was taken back after she failed to perform at the ‘Bliss On The Hills’ event.

Joyce stated that she was not around when the refund was made to the boss of Media Excel Production. Therefore, she cannot speak much about the transaction.

She made these comments to Andy Dosty on Hitz FM.

The singer continued that she has also not called her former manager to inquire why he went for the cash. However, Joyce agrees with Kwasi Ernest’s policy that an individual needs not to be paid for a work not done,

Furthermore, she said that there was no need in questioning him about the move. This was because Zylofon Media has already paid back the cash.

Later, she asked the host to contact Bull Dog for more information about the refund since she was absent at the time the company was paying him the cash.

Her Statement

“If he did not need the money, he would not have gone for it so there is no need in questioning him about it.” 

Joyce was asked if she will agree to be on any other show organised by her former boss. The gospel singer answered in the affirmative.

 

five (5) Side Effects Of Using Waist Trainers

It is every woman’s dream to have a perfect body; flat tummy,sizable behinds among others.

Whiles some are naturally endowed with these ‘artifacts’, some however seek for artificial help to attain the body shape they desire.

However, it is becoming extremely common to see women with ‘endowments’ these days.

There are many ways a women can physically improve upon her body these days.

One of these is by use of waist trainers or corsets.

Though arguable, every woman has at least one of these waist trainers or corsets in her closet.

Though some have used them and stopped at a point, others continue to use them even after getting the shape they desire.

However, as it is said, ‘there are two sides to everything’ and ‘too much of everything is bad’. Most of the means used by women have side effects.

What are waist trainers?

Waist trainers are similar to 16th Century corsets in that they cinch in your waist, core, hips and back. The theory behind them is that if you wear them on a regular basis for a set amount of time, your body will eventually retain the shape and reduce the size of your waist, giving you an ‘hour-glass’ silhouette.

Waist trainers can harm your organs. Studies going back to 20th century found that wearing corsets long term actually misplaced your organs and could cause permanent damage. They can also put added and unwanted pressure on the midsection, limiting blood and oxygen flow to vital organs which can be dangerous.

While there no evidence to support the idea that your body can be molded into a specific shape using spot reduction, there is proof it can lead to some pretty nasty side effects.

Below are five side effects of  waist trainers:

1. Psychological toll

 A waist cincher will make your waist appear slimmer while you’re wearing it though. However, every time you take it off your unhappiness with your shape will be perpetuated through comparison. You’re constantly reminding yourself of how much you dislike your body and being fooled into thinking your ideal figure is just out of reach. This false hope can even leave you with the belief that diet and exercise is no longer necessary, as well as becoming addicted to the wearing the cincher. In the long-run, you’ll most find the whole experience rather distressing when you aren’t achieving the result you so desire.

2. Breathing

Aside pressure on your stomach, it pushes your entire internal network to fit the shape of the cincher. By restricting your diaphragm, you’re reducing the amount of oxygen you can take it. This can leave you feeling short of breath, light headedness and even cause you to faint.

3. Skin irritation

One of the most common effects of waist training is skin irritation. 5. Acid reflux

Anyone who experiences acid reflux will appreciate the intense pain it can cause. By compressing your mid-section, the trainer is also pressing on your stomach up higher increasing your chance of heartburn and indigestion. Not only can it cause pain, but recurring acid reflux can cause long-term damage by eroding the walls of the esophagus.

The actress made this known during an interview with HItz FM’s Andy Dosty.

From the  four names she mentioned, dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale’s name was missing.

Juliet Ibrahim frequently spends a lot of her time in Nigerian. She’s mostly there either for business interests or even for pleasure since her celebrity boyfriend is Nigerian.

The actress, during the interview listed the names of Ghanaian artists whose music she’s heard being played on Nigerian airwaves while she spends her time in that country.

According to Juliet Ibrahim, the Ghanaian music she hears in Nigeria belong to Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Becca, and most recently stonebwoy.

Kafui will launch the book in February this year. The book details the troubles she has been through in life.

According to her, she has suffered in silence. Therefore, she believes the trouble would have ended if she talked about them at the time she was facing them.

Kafui Danku has answered questions people had about the state of her marriage. This was because she had been seen without her wedding ring.

Kafui revealed that her marriage is very much intact.

She made her statements while answering questions at the press launch of her book. Also, she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring.

Her Reason

Furthermore, she revealed that due to her pregnancy, her fingers had grown bigger. Therefore, this made her wedding ring too tight and caused her discomfort.

Moreover, she’s taken it off and has a jeweler to expand the ring to her new finger size.

Kafui was not wearing her ring at the press interaction. Also, it was missing in her photo on the cover of her book.

The actress and movie producer unveiled the title of the book at a press conference. The book will be officially launched in February.

The book, ‘Silence Is Not Golden’, details the story of her difficulty with childbirth. Also, it sheds some light on the troubles she has been through in life.

The book talks about real life situations she and other women go through. This is about finding a voice to tell their story, seek for support or have support. Therefore, ‘Silence Is Not Golden’ is meant to fill that void.

Moreover, the book was motivated by messages she received from women with similar stories. This was after she revealed that she already had 3 miscarriages prior to the conception and birth of her daughter, Lorde.

According to her, she has suffered in silence and believes the trouble would have ended if she talked about them at the time she was facing them.
