Shatta Wale’s bodyguard is loyal to his employer. Also, he has no plans of changing that. Biggie Sparta was slapped by Wale during the S concert. The reason for the slap was Sparta making it easy for an unwelcomed fan to join Shatta Wale on stage.

Four (4) Dishes Enjoyed Most By The Akan Tribe In Ghana

howGhana is a country made up of different ethnic group of people. Some of the ethnic groups are Akans, Ewes, Guans etc. Every group has its chief food coupled with some other few dishes they enjoy best.

The Akan tribe is considered the biggest tribe in Ghana.

It comprises a cluster of peoples living in southern and central Ghana and in southeastern Ivory Coast. They form a series of distinct kingdoms and share a common language, known as Twi, which has many dialects. Twi is a tonal language and, since missionary work during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, has been written in Roman script.

The total Akan population numbers some five or six million. The main constituent kingdoms include Akyem, Akwamu, Akuapem, and Kwahu; the Anyi cluster of some fifteen kingdoms; Asante (with Ahanta and Wasa); the Attie cluster of four kingdoms; the Baule cluster of some seven kingdoms; Brong; and the several Fante states.

As it is, there are some delicacies that the people of this tribe enjoy best.

Below are Four of them:

1. Fufu with ‘abunubu nkwan’

Fufu is considered one of the staple foods of the Akans. It is prepared by pounding boiled cassava and plantain into an even paste. This is eaten with either garden eggs(Light) soup, Palm nut soup, Groundnut soup or abunubunu soup, which is mostly preferred by them. Believe it when i say there are people who cannot go a day without consuming fufu. Let us know if you can relate.

2. 3tor

3tor is a traditional dish of the Akans. It is prepared from slightly riped plantain.

The plantain is mashed and mixed with red/palm oil. Mostly enjoyed with egg and groundnut and avocado.

3. Ampesie with palava sauce

This dish comes in two forms. Some prefer to use plantain(Brcde3 ampesie) whiles others too like yam(Bayer3ampesie).

The plantain or yam is boiled and eaten with garden egg stew. They however have a special way of preparing this stew.

A typical Akan will slighly grind the garden egg in an earthenware pot and fry red oil with onion and add. A little salt to taste and that’s all. Others too prefer their ampesie with Kontomire(Cocoyam leaves) stew.

4. Abetie/Konkonte

A delicacy that has gotten so many re-branded names. You might have heard of an Akan man saying heBanku just finished eaten ‘Chris Brown. Or it could be ‘Face the wall’ etc. No need to be confused the next time you hear that. The person is simply referring to the dish called Abetie/Konkonte. It is prepared from the powdered cassava and mostly enjoyed with groundnut soup or palmnut soup. I’ve heard a few others say they love it with Okro soup though.

5. Aprapransa

Aprapransa is often made from leftover palmnut soup and is normally eaten on special occasions. It contains crabs, beans and fish and is satisfyingly dense and delicious.

Sis Afia Is Better Than Ebony – D-Cryme

Well, not everybody likes the same things.

Ghanaian artiste, Darlington Kwasi Agyekum popularly known as D-Cryme has stated his preference. D-Cryme has made an assertion many Ghanaians would not agree with.

According to him, he chooses highlife and afrobeat songstress Sister Afia over dancehall diva, Ebony.

He made these statements on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show.

He says he prefers the ‘Jeje’ songstress among the two hot female artistes. However, D-Cryme did not offer any reason for his choice.

D-Cryme’s choice just goes to show that we all have our own distinct choices and tastes.

Sister Afia and Ebony have released few hit songs which have propelled them to be on the lips of Ghanaians. Both female artists are known to be controversial and have come under serious attack over their style of dressing.

Whiles many are blaming him for  taking too much time at the concert which resulted in some artistes not performing  for the night. Others too are however condemning him for slapping one of his body guards for allowing a fan to touch him.

Shatta Wale’s ‘Baby Mama’, Michelle Diamond Gbagonah aka Shatta Michy has come to his defense.

Mitchy took to her official facebook page to silence critics and support Shatta Wale.

Shatta Michy’s Posts

In one of her posts, she wrote that her boyfriend is always in the news for the negative reasons but when he does good things no one sees them.

She further advised Ghanaians to start appreciating their own. This she said is because this ‘shitty’ attitude won’t be tolerated in 2018.

To her, anything bad could have happened to her man due to the negligence on the part of his bodyguard.

5 Home Remedies To Get Rid Of Dark Underarms/Armpits

We all love to flaunt our beauty with sleeveless tops, spaghettis, bikinis and strapless gowns. But are those dark underarms giving you a hitch wearing your favorite outfit? It’s time to deal with it.
Generally, dark discoloration of under arms is not a serious medical condition every time.

But at times, dark underarms may also be as a result of a medical condition that is known as acanthosis nigricans which is often associated with insulin resistance, obesity, hormonal disorders, certain medications, and cancer.

Get diagnosed with your doctor to find out the exact reason.

However, if it is just due to shaving, regular use of hair removing creams, excessive sweating, poor ventilation of underarms, accumulation of dead skin cells, and use of alcohol-based deodorants and antiperspirants – home remedies are a great solution to reduce them.

You can easily get rid of dark underarms using simple home remedies that are safe, effective, natural and affordable.

Here are the top 6 ways to get rid of dark underarms;

1. Baking Soda

Baking soda can be used to make an exfoliating scrub to get rid of dark underarms. This will help remove dead skin cells, which is one of the main causes of dark underarms. It will also help unclog skin pores.

  1. Mix baking soda and water to make a thick paste.
  2. Use this paste to scrub your underarms.
  3. Wash it off and pat dry the area thoroughly.
  4. Repeat a few times a week.

You can also apply a light dusting of equal parts of baking soda and cornstarch to neutralize body odor.

2. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is another good option to get rid of dark underarms. It contains vitamin E that can help lighten the underarms. At the same time, it will also work as an effective natural deodorant.

  1. Massage the dark underarms with coconut oil.
  2. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Wash it off with mild soap and lukewarm water.
  4. Repeat two or three times daily until you achieve the desired results.

3. Potato for Dark Underarms

The mild acidic property present in potatoes is a great natural bleaching agent. Unlike strong bleaching agents, it will not cause skin irritation.

  • Simply rub a thin slice of potato on your underarms.
  • You can also grate the potato and apply the juice to the affected area, allow it to dry for 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Cucumber

Just like potatoes, cucumbers also have natural bleaching properties to help lighten discolored skin.

  • Simply rub a thin cucumber slice on your underarms or grate a cucumber and apply the juice under your arms. Do this once or twice daily until you are satisfied with the results.
  • Another option is to extract the juice from a cucumber and mix it with a little turmeric powder and lemon juice. Apply this paste on the affected area. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and then wash it off with water. Repeat this home remedy once daily or every other day for best results.

Use either of these home remedies twice daily for better and faster results.

Stop The Unnecessary Beef, Let Our Music Do The Talking-VVIP Jabs Shatta Wale

VGMA 2017 Best group of the year VVIP has once again taken a swipe at dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale.

The group, on their official Instagram page took turns to spell some words of advise to Shatta Wale, advising him to stop the ‘fake beef’ and focus on his music.

This follows some comments the dancehall King passed about VVIP. Shatta Wale was spotted in a live video in which he stated that the music group sold cheap to Nigeria at one of their visit there.

The utterance, howvever did not go down well for the group.

More so, a provoked member of the group, Zeal, in reply referred to him as a “fool” for saying that.

Shatta, as usual, retaliated with insults to Zeal.

The beef that was therefore supposed to be between Shatta and WizKid has now become Shatta and VVIP.

More on VVIP

While indirectly throwing shade at the Dancehall King, VVIP took to their timeline to congratulate WizKid and Davido for winning the MOBO awards.

According to the group, when an African wins, he wins for the whole of Africa.

They further congratulated Wizkid for being the first African Artist to win MOBO’s Best International act. They also congratulated Davido for winning MOBO Best African act.

The group again called on all up and coming dancehall artistes to remeber to celebrate Samini.

Samini was the first Ghanaian to win the Best MOBO African Act in 2006.

” Let’s stop focusing on fake beef and get to work, winning for Africa. BE PROUD AFRICANS”, they urged.

Stonebwoy Fumes Over Negligence of Ghanaian media

Awards-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has expressed grave disappointment at the neglect of Ghanaians and the media as well.

According to Livingstone Satekla Etse, Ghanaians do not support their own creative minds.

Stonebwoy  was speaking at a press briefing on Thursday to launch his 24-track album.

The Zylofon Media Signee further stated that, it is sad how the Ghanaian media has failed in projecting Ghanaian musicians and actors.

“ One of the most trending tweets on twitter as I was coming here is the fact that Wizkid has won an international award over Jay Z and Beyonce at the moguls and the way the Nigerian media is carrying it is amazing, even the President of Nigeria is tweeting about it,” he said.

More On Stonebwoy

Stonebwoy further said Samini was the first African artist to win a mogul award in Africa in 2006. But the Ghanaian media with their ‘much ado about nothing attitude’ did not make news out of it.

According to him, he was saddened when he posted about his Grammy nomination with Morgan Heritage.

This, he says is because he got the lowest likes on his Instagram post when he broke the news.

“Is it the English we do not understand or what?” he quizzed

Reacting to critics who think he bribed his way into the Grammy nomination, he said, “If anyone thinks it’s that easy to get nominated for a Grammy, then they should get themselves in there,” he said.

According to Stonebwoy, he is the first African musician to have featured five International artists on one album.
