Artiste Development Manager at Zylofon media, Willie Roi has some words for Ghanaians. He has asked Ghanaian Gospel artistes to leave their comfort zone (Churches) and take on newer and bigger stages.

This is because they are born to evangelize to the world. Therefore, it is not to perform to a select few who already know the Lord and His ways.

He made these comments following criticisms against Joyce Blessing. The Zylofon Media signee has been criticised of performing secular songs and other people’s songs.

Moreover, he indicated that as a gospel musician she is expected to do more to win the souls for God. She should therefore not just sit in the Church and feel comfortable.

Interestingly, Willie Roi said Joyce Blessings has always performed secular inspirational songs since she started singing. Willie added that it is approved internationally for an artiste to perform songs of their colleagues.

His Statement

“Joyce Blessings used to perform secular inspirational songs even before she joined Zylofon media. It’s just because she is signed onto Zylofon that is why people have problems with her. If you don’t know you should ask and learn. Internationally it is accepted to perform songs of other people and there is nothing wrong with that”.

He called on Ghanaians to educate themselves rather than act ignorantly about the whole issue.

The conversation around homosexuality will not end anytime soon.

FOKN Bois, consisting of Wanlov and Mensa, have waded into the conversation surrounding the legality of homosexuality. FOKN Bois made these statements on the “After Hours Show” with Mikki Osei Berko.

Their comments and thoughts on the issue were well thought out and very incisive.

Wanlov the Kubolor stated that Ghana has a myriad of problems. These problems include bad roads, lack of quality education and corruption. All of these affect us directly but we are more focused on the sexuality of adults.

We have come to a point that we feel powerless about changing these things, about correcting those people in power and having them answer about the bad things they are doing. We take it out on one group of people.

Furthermore, M3nsa stated that he agreed with the way our President answered his interview question on Aljazeera. He noted that most Ghanaian politicians must adopt that stance because it’s true.

I believe in equal human right and I don’t care too much about somebody’s sexuality which does not fact my well being or that of my family. How is somebody’s gay life affecting me, my children or my community?

Finally, FOKN Bois advised Ghanaians to change their mindset and focus on issues which will help us develop as a country.

There is good news for Stonebwoy fans all over.

Stonebwoy has released his new album titled ‘Epistles Of Mama’. He held a packed out UK listening party at Red Bull Studios when he announced the release of his album.

His 3rd studio album is a double album consisting of 12 reggae songs and 12 afrobeats tracks. The ambitious project sees Stonebwoy bring together these 2 genres in one package. Stonebwoy has special collaborations with Sean Paul, Sarkodie, Burna Boy, Kabaka Pyramid and much more. Stonebwoy explains the thinking behind the duality of the album.

“I wanted to reach out across the world, to all the lovers reggae and all the lovers of afrobeats and to bring these 2 genres together in one place.”

The theme of motherhood is key to the album. That is a message that pins many of the tracks together. The album is dedicated to his Mother and the morals and guidance that all mothers instill in their children. Stonebwoy explains:

“It’s inspired by the good morals, the teachings, the lessons, the anguish and the smiles of life – All the important things in life which are passed on to us by our mothers.”

Ebony, the 90s bad gyal, keeps proving that she is here to stay.

Over the weekend, she staged her first solo concert. The concert was Ebony’s “Bonyfied Soloku Concert’.

However, despite a downpour the concert at the West Hills Mall went ahead as planned.

The show was held in honour of her 16-track debut album “Bonyfied”.

However, a lot of the expected top acts could not make it due to the rain. However, the likes of Kurl Songx, Epixode, Agbeshie, Gemini, Eno, Bosheba, label mate Brella all performed at the event.

Sometimes, good things don’t last forever.

Ghanaian musician, Pataapa had unfortunate luck. Pataapa became popular due to his viral sensation ‘One Corner.’ Life seemed good for the musician as he got to perform everywhere.

He bought a car for himself after basking in the fruits of his success.

However, now he is back under the public eye for the wrong reasons.

According to reports, Pataapa knocked down two people with his brand new Toyota Corolla saloon car. The unfortunate incident happened on Monday afternoon at Okponglo near the University of Ghana.

However, the victims are okay.

Tic Tac’s actions on EIB’s GH-One TV is still being speculated.

Artiste manager, Nana Poku Ashis has reacted to Tic Tac walking off a live interview on Gh One TV. He used to be the manager for Kwabena Kwabena. Nana Poku was commenting on the unfortunate incident that happened.

He spoke against the act of playing Shatta Wale‘s music video when Tic Tac was on the show to promote his brand.

Furthermore, he questioned whether any media person would interview the boss of one telco while playing the commercial of a competitor.

According to him, Gh One’s action was disrespectful to Tic Tac. Therefore, it would be wise on their behalf to apologise to the musician.

“How can you be interviewing the CEO of MTN den you would play a Vodafone add, or song. who born dog.. respect my brand simple.
You want use me make news, I go use you first.. EIb should come again they should apologize to Tic sharply” Nana Poku Ashis wrote on Facebook.

Ashis has worked with Kwabena Kwabena, Nacee, and other top Ghanaian musicians. He is currently handling highlife gem, Ofori Amponsah.

What is it with Ghanaian celebrities and politics?

Ghanaian actress Nana Ama McBrown has spoken about the next steps she wants to take in her life. She has ambitions to become a political person in future.

Nana Ama made these statements at the recently held Stars In Worship event. According to the actress, she is preparing to into parliament and has eyes on the Kwadaso Constituency. The constituency is located in the Kumasi Metropolitan district of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Nana Ama says she is optimistic about her chances. She stated that she will win the seat hands down should she stand as Member of Parliament. However, Nana Ama did not to mention whether she would be aspiring as an independent candidate or on the ticket of a political party.

Furthermore, Nana Ama clarified that she is not ready to go to parliament now but she will certainly stand.

Tic Tac has shown he would not be taken for a ride. Shatta Wale and Tic Tac’s beef looks like it’s not going to end anytime soon.

On Friday morning, Tic Tac walked off the GH-One TV set during an interview. He walked off the set because the station was showing Shatta Wale’s video whilst he was talking.

Tic Tac was angry and did not understand why the station decided to show Wale’s video. Furthermore, he drove to the station to promote his new work and songs.

Tic Tac questioned Baisiwaa, host of the show, why they would promote Shatta Wale instead of him.

He then removed the microphone and walked off set. The show host, Baisiwaa, after Tc Tac’s action apologized to viewers for the unfortunate scene.

At this rate, Tic Tac is generating a lot of support for his action.
