The 5th edition of the Rapperholic Concert came off on Christmas Day. The Rapperholic Concert lived up to expectations as it was filled with joy, fun and laughter.

There were many artistes who graced the stage to thrill fans who stormed the venue hours before the concert.

Asamoah Gyan And I Were Class-mates – Shatta Wale Reveals

The 2017 Rapperholic concert, which came off on Christmas day lived up to expectations as it was filled with joy, fun and laughter.

There were many artistes who graced the stage to thrill fans who stormed the venue hours before the concert.

Headlined by awards-winning rapper, Sarkodie, the surprise of the night came when dancehall aritiste Shatta Wale appeared as the MC for the night.

Shatta Wale did his best and not only surprise the audience with his presenting skills but also exhibited his very unusual jovial side. One could even confuse him for an award-winning comedian.

Away from his usual dress code, controversies and mannerisms, Shatta appeared clam and gently dressed on the night.

In his remarks upon seeing the Black Stars Skipper, Asamoah Gyan, Shatta referred audience back to their days in school.

Shatta Wale’s Speech

According to him; “That(Asamoah Gyan) was my classmate mehhn!,..back in school he wasn’t as brilliant as I was- he exclaimed.

Shatta Wale further revealed that his favorite subject was Physical Education (P.E) and he even did better than the skipper on the pitch in his hay days.

“Asamoah, I think we should exchange professions, come do music and let me play the ball,” he sarcastically told the Black Stars Captain.

The 2017 Rapperholic concert took place at the Accra International Conference Center.

It was indeed a memorable night for all fans and audience.

Joyce Blessing In Critical Condition After Ghastly Accident

Let’s be safe out there during this season.

Gospel musician, Joyce Blessing had a not so merry Chrsitmas. Joyce Blessing and her team were involved in a ghastly accident in Nsawam. The accident happened while they were on their way to Kwahu for the ‘Bliss on the Hills’ festival.

Joyce Blessing was left in a critical condition. However, she is now responding to treatment.

The accident left the gospel musician’s four-wheel drive badly mangled.

Other people who suffered injuries include, her husband who was driving the vehicle. Others were her manager, personal assistant, her Blogger and two others from her record label – Zylofon Media.

Thankfully, the Head of Artiste Repertoire at Zylofon Media, Bulldog has stated that Joyce Blessing is “responding to treatment” and she is “stable”.

Furthermore, he stated that the singer sustained some injuries at her back.

He is hopeful Joyce Blessing will be discharged from the facility in “a day or two”.

Furthermore, he added that the rest of the occupants were responding to treatment.

Benedicta Gafah And Salma Mumin Are Indiscipline Actresses – Kofi Asamoah

Movie Producer and Director, Kofi Asamoah has mentioned Salma Mumin and Benedicta Gafah as some of the most indiscipline actresses he has ever worked with.

Kofi Asmoah was speaking on Accra-based Zylofon FM on some of the factors killing the Ghana Movie Industry currently.

There have been several debates on this subject and many of the industry players have outlined some of the factors.

Some of which are indiscipline, complacency and disregard.

Speaking on the subject, he indicated that most actors and actresses in Ghana are not disciplind.

He further added that most of them lack respect simply because they think they have made it in life. Hence they think they are better than the directors who guide them on what to do in the movies.

Mentioning some of the actors and actresses who to him are indiscipline, he mentioned that Salma Mumin and Benedicta Gafah are some of the indiscipline actresses he has worked with.

Adding that the ladies do not have respect for time and when they are late for the set, they do not find any better excuse to account for their lateness or absence from the set.

He advised that for the industry to grow, there is the need for a change in attitude because that is the only recipe to ensure that the industry can grow from its current sinking fortunes.

I Should Have Listened To My Parents – Kwabena Kwabena

This time of the year is for self-reflection. Therefore, it seems like Kwabena Kwabena is reflecting on his life decisions.

Highlife singer, Kwabena Kwabena has spoken about his regrets. He expressed his immense regret for failing to heed the advice of his parents before marriage.

If you would remember, Kwabena Kwabena got married again in 2010.

However, years down the line, the marriage due to allegations of infidelity leveled against him by his wife.

He made these statements on Adom FM. Kwabena Kwabena stated that even though he believes marriage adds value to life, he regrets rushing into it.

His Statement

‘I believe in marriage as a very good thing. With the way I was raised I want to settle down but it is just that it has been unfortunate.’

“I think for me the little I have learnt is that I never listened to my parents. I have learnt my lessons now” he added.

Furthermore, he stated, ‘I believe in marriage but I believe if you have the right partner with the same focus it will work.’

Also, Kwabena Kwabena urged couples planning to marry to concentrate on each other to avoid facing similar problems.

“What I would advise is that the young people who are so much in a hurry to marry should take their time. I pray the good Lord puts me in a better place next time” Kwabena Kwabena added.

Benedicta Gafah May Not Be Able To Bring Forth A Child – Diamond Appiah Alleges

It looks like the ‘beef’ Parliamneteary aspirant, Diamond Appiah holds against actress and Zylofon Media Signee Benedicta Gafah is yet to be cooked.

Diamond has once again unsavourly attacked the latter.

There seems to be a friction between the two on social media.

The former musician has for some time now made several allegations against the actress.

Paramount of it is she saying Benedicta Gafah may not be able to conceive a baby.

According to her, this is because of a procedure Benedicta went for.

This notwithstanding, Benedicta does not seem to respond to the several call-outs by Diamond Appiah.

Diamond Appiah as usual, took to her official Instagram page and wrote “BEFORE AND AFTER BE 3D3 OOO but the ASHFOAM in the pink trousers was showing too much my dear sis. Next time don’t try so hard to deceive innocent ppl with your Fake photoshop pics .. be real darling bcos even ur ex-husband, the one u hid from Ghanaians said u have removed all the fat from ur tummy n may not be able to conceive. But we all pray u do”.

She also alleged that the fair, pretty Kumawood actress has bleached her skin.

Diamond wote “Sister Benedicta nie ooo when the big stomach was bae boi this was before the bleaching and Doctor panie flat stomach and fake ass surgery … eeeeii Ghana fuor mu ni suban ooo u girls got so much of Afia’s throwback pictures boi. Ebony Thrills Fans At Decemba 2 Rememba(D2R)2017

Dancehall diva, Ebony has once again thrilled fans at the 2017 Decemba 2 Rememba concert(D2R)

The annual D2R came off over the weekend at the Accra International Conference Centre.

It was a ‘blast’ as all artistes billed to perform turned out in their numbers.

It was more over highly patronized by many music lovers.

As usual, the 90’s badgyal, Ebony Reigns did not fail to entertain her fans and patrons at the concert.

She put up an awesome performance by starting with her  gospel song ‘Aseda’.

Other songs from her repertoire like ‘Kupe,’ ‘Sponsor’ ‘Date Ur Fada’, ‘Hustle etc followed.’

Audiences and fans were highly electrified with music as they danced and moved to the rhythms and tunes of the ‘Maame Hw3’ hitmaker.

There were other performances from Adoma, Magnom, Fancy Gadam, Kuami Eugen, Kidi, MzVee, B4Bonah and many more artistes.

Decemba 2 Rememba(D2R) is an annual musical concert organized by Citi 97.3 FM.

The concert, has over the years been the main Christmas Eve attraction.

It has also been the platform for the best pop, hiplife, rap, and new music genres to flourish in Ghana.

Over the years, it has generated much excitement among music fans and the general public.

This years’ was no exception as it all came out very successful.

It was indeed a Decemba 2 Rememba as we believe it’s going to linger in the minds of patrons forever.

Fatherhood Definitely Has An Effect On Me – Sarkodie

Rapper Micheal Ouwsu Addo, aka Sarkodie has stated being a family man has affected his delivery.

Sarkodie was speaking on Starr Drive with Geovanita( Giovanni And Anita)

According to him, becoming a father has not hindered his creativity, but has made him more responsible.

“…And I need to own-up to things [that] I say. So, I can’t be hypocritical as at now…it definitely had effect but I think it is good,” he said.

Sarkodie welcomed his first daughter, Adalyn Owusu Addo(Titi) with his long time girlfriend, Tracy a year ago.

Touching on his perceived arrogant posture to the media when he is required for an interview, the ‘Gbozaa’ hitmaker pointed out that the perception goes beyond the media.

“I think people; when they see me they feel like there is a wall that they need to break before they get to me. I think that is the vibe that people get and it might be true…I think different people from different walks of life have the same experience but personally, it is not true,” he added.

Sark is set for his sellout show ‘Rapperholic’ concert which comes off Tuesday December 25.

I Don’t Smoke – Ebony Reigns Slams Smoking Rumors

Dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns has dispelled smoking rumors, says she doesn’t smoke.

Many have speculated that the Afropop and dancehall artiste does drugs.

This they believe is because of her choice of costumes for performances and her bizarre lifestyle.

Ebony, however in a Live interaction on Citi FM’s fan page said that she does not smoke.

This was in response to a question by a fan who asked if she smoked.

“No, I don’t smoke,” she replied to the fan.

The 90’s bad gal has been mauled for her suggestive lyrical prowess and erotic antics on stage.

Her recent song, ‘Maame Hwe’, which preaches against domestic violence, has however won the hearts of many including her critics who hitherto had a negative perception of her due to her choice of costumes.

Ebony’s choice of costumes has however changed. She has on two occasions appeared all covered up.

This is after she received a lot of backlash from the public for ‘exposing’ her genitals at the 4Syte Music Video Awards.

Ebony To Perform At Decemba 2 Rememba Concert

The ‘Hustle’ singer is among some top musicians billed to perform at this year’s Decemba 2 Rememba concert.

Avram Grant Ruined Ghana Football – Nana Aba Anamoah

The year is ending and people are still trying to figure out what went wrong with the Black Stars.

One of such person is television personality, Nana Aba Anamoah.

Nana Aba Anamoah has laid the failure of Ghana football at Black Stars Coach, Avram Grant. She blames him for destroying Ghana football and hails his successor Kwesi Appiah as our saviour.

According to Nana Aba Anamoah, Grant’s three year tenure – between 2014 and 2017 – practically destroyed Ghanaian football.

Nana Aba made these statements on Agoo TV.

Her Words

“Avram Grant completely ruined Ghana football. Our FIFA ranking was higher when he assumed his position and he did well to bring it down.” Nana Aba said on Agoo TV.

“I cannot put my hands on what he had on the GFA officials that left everyone silent about how he managed the affairs of the team”

Kwesi Appiah took over from Grant earlier this year. He also failed to qualify Ghana for the world cup. However, Nana Aba believes he’s the best thing to happen to Ghana football this year.

Maame Serwaa Cancels Event In Honour Of Late Mum

Our prayers are with Maame Serwaa.

A couple of days ago,  management of actress Clara Benson explained her December 30 event dubbed, A Day With Maame Serwaa, will still come off as publicized despite her mother’s death.

However, the management have come out with a change of plans. The management of Maame Serwaa rescinded their decision to still go ahead with the show despite her loss.

They made these statements to Zionfelix.net.

According to them, she has not recovered from the sad news of her mother, Rose Benson passing on. The management further said the event will not come off on December 30 this year but at a later date.

Furthermore, they failed to give a new date for the show but assured fans of the 18-year old that “A Day With Maame Serwaa” will come off after her mother’s funeral. The funeral will happen on January 20, 2018, at Awtima Koforidua in the Ashanti Region.

I Deserved ‘Artiste Of The Year’ Awards In 2016 And 2017- Stonebwoy

Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy says he knows in his heart that the Ghana Music Artiste of the Year Awards for 2016 and 2017 should have been given to him.

According to the BET award winner, his output during those years was second to none.

He believes strongly he was robbed of the awards in 2016 and 2017. These were however won by E.L and Joe Mettle respectively.

Stonebwoy  was speaking in an interview with JoyNews’ Doreen Avio.

The ‘My Name’ crooner further stated that his trips outside the country at the time of the awards possibly worked against him.

He added that winning ‘Artiste of the Year’ in 2015 and going all the way to win a BET award is a record which is yet to be broken.

“Nobody in Ghana has won the Artiste of the Year award and at the same time won a BET the same year, back to back,” he added.

He was however proud that he was the one to set this record and is hopeful to win next year too.

Stonebwoy was speaking on who he believes deserves to win the 2018 ‘Artiste of the Year’ Awards which is just few months from now.

Some artists have already started campaigning for the coveted accolade.

2017 New Artiste of the Year, Fancy Gadam believes he has worded hard enough for the accolade.

Songstress Ebony holds the same view.

‘Angela’ hitmaker, Kuami Eugene has also indicated his desire to grab the ultimate award should he be nominated.

The debate as to who goes home with the plaque on the night is already gaining momentum ahead of time.

M.anifest & I Have More Unreleased Songs – Sarkodie

This is good news for fans of M.anifest and Sarkodie.

Earlier in the week, a song leaked online made by Sarkodie and M.anifest. The fans of Sarkodie and M.anifest were both shocked and excited to hear the song.

It showed the two rap heavyweights doing what they know how to do best. The title of the song is ‘Bars’. The song was received quite well especially after last year’s epic beef.

Sarkodie has come out to talk about the song. He revealed that they have other recorded songs out there which have never been released.

He made these statements to Hitz FM.

His Words

“This song goes way back, I can’t remember the year but it was a very long time ago.”

“We have songs. We actually have about three songs that we released years ago. None of the songs have been titled but I know we recorded with three different producers and they have the songs”
