Lydia Forson Shares Story Survival As She Celebrates Birthday

Yesterday was Lydia Forson’s birthday. To celebrater her birthday, Forson shared her story of survival on her website, lydiaforson.com. The story consists of her struggles when she went for surgery and how she overcame it.

Read below:

I am who I am because of every important person in my life, and today I choose to celebrate them.
Last year I was in the best shape of my life, I was healthy, strong and everything seemed to be falling into place.

But little did I know that God was preparing me for a tough year ahead.

Living in the public eye means going through a lot alone.

You hesitate to share certain parts of your life with the world , because you can’t always trust that people will understand what you’re going through, have compassion or even be sensitive to your pain.

That’s how I underwent  surgery this year and kept it to myself.

But as I celebrate another year I want to celebrate my survival story and all the people who made it possible.

Here it goes;

Not being able to walk, bath, and do basic things you usually take for granted teaches you a lot about life, humility and all the little things we often overlook.

In this period I’ve had to smile through the pain, tears and healing.

I felt the need to mask my fears for my loved ones, I didn’t think anyone would quite understand the range of emotions I was going through.

I played the part of the strong, ever ready tough girl perfectly, until the day of surgery.

When I saw the doctors and nurses in scrubs heard the beeping sounds of medical equipment and saw the surgical instruments, it finally dawned on me in that cold theatre room, that this could very well be the end.

And then I broke down in tears at the thought of that.

No matter how reassuring and comforting my doctor, family and friends were in the lead up to my procedure, I was also very aware of the possibility that a successful surgery, was NOT guaranteed.

The realization that I’d be cut open, the excruciating pain I’d be in, the uncertainty of post surgery recovery and the idea that my body would never be the same terrified me.

Thankfully, I SURVIVED.

But the road to recovery was long, painful, confusing and sometimes psychologically draining.

And this period brought me so much clarity on my life and I came to appreciate the raw gift of love, family, friendship and even forgiveness.

It brought healing to my family in places I’d almost given up on, and created unexpected bonds with new acquaintances, giving me a new perspective on life.

But most importantly it reminded me that I’m NEVER ALONE, especially in the moments I need it most.

The overwhelming love and support from my family, friends and others I encountered during this period is a testament of GOD’s unwavering presence in my life.

So today, I want to thank God, by celebrating these people who he’s strategically placed in my life at nearly every turn to see me through the worst.

My mother : Mum, where would my life be without you? I was so naive to just how much I needed you, especially through this, but as usual you were right. For weeks I became your baby girl again, crying and needing you by my side. You put your own pain aside and focused all your energy on nursing me back to health; watching you limp back forth and not being able to help tore me up inside. But you refused to stop until I was back on my feet; so thank you mum for being strong enough for both of us, for hiding your own fears, and being my rock.

My Father : Dad, your calmness and comforting words through this period helped me out of a frightening and dark place. On the days when I was too afraid to tell anyone how I really felt, you were the one I trusted with those feelings of doubt. Thanks for using this to try even in the smallest way to make up for the many years we’ve lost apart. And opening a new chapter in our relationship.

My brothers: Sam and Manny, I really don’t know how I got so lucky to have brothers who make me the center of their universe. I felt the frustration of wanting to be by my side, but what you don’t know is I felt you there with me even from thousands of miles away. The long nights you stayed up with me on FaceTime, especially when I couldn’t sleep were so precious to me, if I come back in another life I want you as my brothers over and over again.

My friends : GGW girls, I see you. Thanks for the calls, phone credit ( yes you know yourselves), fruits and just continuously checking up on me. To Yvonne and Sandra, thanks for sneaking in the “good stuff”, to Gwen, doing what you did for me especially in my moment of need is something I will never forget. To Euphemia, thanks for being the sister I never had, and being someone I can always count on to make me feel better. To the many others I can’t mention by name, thank you for listening to my fears and joining me to laugh them away. But most importantly thanks for being friends with a handful like me.

My Doctors : Dr. Bilson, thank you for being the exception to the rule, for making me so confident in your work that I trusted you with my life. Thank you for not being the ordinary and for listening to my all concerns and fears, especially those I thought were just in my head. But most importantly thanks for going the extra mile.

Dr. Delase Amedoh ( I just needed to write your full name) : Imagine it took surgery for me to finally see you as a doctor. ? But thank you for holding my hand as I cried like a baby. That’s an image I wish I could erase from your mind but it’s one I’ll forever cherish.

To my fans : You were with me every step of my healing process without knowing, you gave me something to constantly look forward to on my hospital bed. Some of your comments, especially your words of encouragement, support and love even when you didn’t know what I was going through.

I may not always understand Gods plan for my life and the things I go through, but I have faith that he’s with me every step of the way, and I’ll survive.

I Never Turned Down Calls From Papaa Yankson For A Collabo – Kofi Kinaata

Award winning Rapper, Martin King Arthur, best known as  Kofi Kinaata has denied reports that he turned down a request by late veteran High life musician, Paapa Yankson to record a song with him before he passed on.

The ‘Confession’ hit maker revealed that, contrary to the reports, he was in touch with the veteran musician and had started working on a song before he passed on.

The late Paapa Yankson passed away after a short illness on July 21, 2017 at age 78.

Paapa Yankson, before his death, had mentioned that he tried several times to contact Kofi Kinaata for a collaboration but the latter never responded to his calls.

The veteran musician proclaimed his love for the young artiste in an interview on Accra-based Citi FM in March but was saddened by his unresponsiveness ,

“There is this boy Kofi Kinaata…I called him. Paulina [Oduro] gave me his number…as at now, he hasn’t replied,” Paapa Yankson said in that interview.

However, Kofi Kinaata told JoyNews’ Maxwell Amoofia during the burial service for the late musician last Saturday that, he wasn’t initially contacted directly by Paapa Yankson.

“He told someone that he was looking for me. He didn’t call me personally,” the rapper said.

The ‘High-Grade Family’ member recounted that he eventually met the High life legend at this year’s Ghana Music Awards, where he exchanged contacts with him and later visited him at his residence at Dansoman, a suburb of Accra.

Kofi Kinaata narrated that, “He told me he has been following my works. He loves whatever I am doing and that I should keep it up.”

“Paapa Yankson said there is this song he likes to do with me… Paapa asked that we do the song before he dies,” the rapper added.

The ‘Susuka” hit maker’ indicated that he recorded his verses on the song and handed it over to the sound engineer in charge as well as one of the sons of Paapa Yankson.

The 2017 VGMA High life Artiste of the year also stated that, even though many of his contemporaries failed to show up there, there was no way he could have missed the funeral of the late musician .

My Family Has Been Living Over Seas Even Before I Hit The Limelight- Obour Replies Akoo Nana

Bice Osei Kuffour, best known in showbiz as Obour, President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has finally responded to claims made by hiplife musician Akoo Nana that the the former spends the Union’s money extravagantly with his family abroad.

Akoo Nana, in a video recording some weeks ago accused the President of MUSIGA neglecting his responsibilities as leader of the Union leaving musicians to wallow in poverty whiles enriching his family living over seas with the Union’s money.

Obour, has however in response to these allegations rubbished the claims on Cosmopolitan Mix on Joy FM with Doreen Andoh.

He insisted that his family has been living in the United States since the days he had his hit single ‘Konkontibaa’ in 2004.

“Recently, I heard one from Akoo Nana. He hears that my family is in the US and [concludes] I have taken MUSIGA’s money. My family has been living in the US since Konkontibaa days,” Obour revealed.

According to the MUSIGA President, some of these comments that are passed about him are not true and this, he says is unfortunate.

He further stated that, “If you don’t know and you just say that Obour has made money [from MUSIGA], it is sad”, adding that he laughs off some of these pronouncements because they are baseless.

Obour mentioned that the numerous complaints he receives about his administration are borne out of the lack of understanding of MUSIGA’s role.

He disclosed that, in order for Ghanaians and other musicians not to misconstrue the roles of MUSIGA, the Union is strategizing to upgrade its communication machinery to better inform and educate and Ghanaians on the mandate of MUSIGA.

No need To Spend Much On Anti-aging creams, Here are 7 Anti-Aging Foods That Will Do Wonders For Your Skin

As much as aging is a natural and an inevitable process, it can be slowed down, and its effects can be reduced with the help of various natural remedies and foods.

The effects of aging on the skin are also caused by the exposure to sun-especially in our part of the world, cell division, oxidization, and diet.

You can therefore achieve amazing effects if you supply the needed nutrients and vitamins through your diet, and the skin will look younger, healthy, smooth, even, and free of wrinkles and blemishes.

First and foremost, it is of high importance to avoid the following factors which negatively affect the state of your skin:

*Inactivity: Exercise boosts blood flow to the skin and supports the transport of nutrients throughout the body. Exercise more often to keep the body active.

*Dehydration- the skin is affected by the lack of water in the body, as the liver and the heart are the priorities in the body. Drink more water often to keep the skin hydrated.

*Smoking causes lines and wrinkles as the carbon monoxide in cigarettes lowers the circulation in the capillaries around the mouth, and these areas do not get enough nutrients.

*Stress shortens the cell telomeres and thus damages the DNA. Telomeres are needed for the production of protein and if they are damaged, cells die. A healthy skin is actually based on an optimal cellular health.

*Excessive and unprotected sun exposure leads to free radical damage, as free radicals take electrons from stable molecules and they, in turn, become free radicals, and thus set off a chain reaction which leads to skin damage. Know the type of clothes to wear out when the sun is scorching. Wearing of sunglasses to can be of great help to the eye.

When it comes to skin health, Looking for natural ways to keep your skin healthy and looking glowing like that of a baby’s, then these are the best 7 foods to include in your diet to help you rejuvenate the skin and maintain your skin;

1.Avocados

Salmon is loaded with Omega 3s which rejuvenates the skin, lowers inflammation due to chemicals and strengthens cell membranes for plumper skin. It is also rich in vitamin B,C and  potassium.

4.Carrots

Here are 10 Secret Signs Your Boyfriend’s Not Over His Ex

Do you have doubts as to whether your boyfriend is really over his ex? Are you dating a guy who seems to have a rather soft spot for his ex? This is usually difficult to detect since guys are good with hiding their emotions but relax because, no matter how much he tries to hide his emotions, there are still other factors you can use to detect whether he is still not over his ex.

If you’re troubled by the quicksand of sappy emotions your man has for his ex flame, you’re not alone. And it’s completely acceptable to hate him for it. Of course, really now, if he’s still in love with his ex, what the heck is he doing with you?

Well, if your guy tells you that he still thinks of his ex fondly, you could admire his honesty. Just give a smile and then you can kick him out to the curb. That’s if you can.

But what do you do when he actually says he’s over his ex, but you still don’t believe him.

It is true that getting over an ex is never easy and if you’ve been in a passionate relationship that had to end, you’d know how hard it is to get over a special someone.

But as much as it’s not easy to forget someone you once loved, there’s a thin line between forgetting someone and staying in love with them.

If your boyfriend still loves his ex, chances are, he still wants to get back with his ex. And that is definitely not something you should put up with.

You’re not a rebound girl nor are you his nanny to nurse his heart to good health so he can regain his broken heart pieces and pursue his ex again when he feels better. Hell NO!

Ghafla.com brings you 10 signs that can help you figure out if he’s over his ex or not;

1. His chats; Unless your boyfriend is a sneaky ex lover, he’ll definitely leave a few signs now and then on his computer or phone. If your boyfriend’s browser history shows that he’s been visiting his ex’s Facebook or twitter account or her blog often, he’s definitely not over his ex. So how much is too much? Checking up on an ex once a week is barely acceptable, but if he’s been frequenting his ex’s pages more often than that, you need to have that talk with him.

Wait a minute, this is a very arguable point as some would say it’s inappropriate for one to be sneaking on the chats of his or her partner. But hey, what’s wrong with reading your partners messages? If he’s giving you a spare key to his room, then why can’t he tell you his password? Why not?

2. He talks about her all the time; It doesn’t matter if he talks fondly or badly  about her all the time. S long as he still does talk about her, it means he still thinks about of her and still has feelings for her. If a guy has come to terms with his break up, he won’t keep whining about it. He’ll get over it.

Only a guy who’s constantly bothered by thoughts of his ex would like ranting about it to his present girlfriend. If your boyfriend constantly finds ways to bring his ex into the conversation without you initiating it, he’s definitely still missing her.

3. He gets annoyed when he hears that she’s dating someone new; For crying out loud! He’s dating you. He’s supposed to be happy with you and give a hoot about her. But if he gets to know that she’s dating someone new and turns into an uncontrollable whining boy, he’s obviously pissed off that she’s doing the deed with someone new. If he’s truly happy with you and has overpowered any strings of residual love, he shouldn’t be bothered if she dates someone else. Why should he even be?

4.He looks befuddled when he bumps into her. The next time you walk hand in hand with your boyfriend and bump into his ex, watch how he behaves. Keep a close watch there. Does he let go of your hand immediately, or does he get flustered or mumble like an awkward prepubescent child? If his heart races or he starts sweating around his ex, she’s definitely been running marathons in his mind behind your back.

5. He enjoys getting teased with his ex; Does your boyfriend stiffen a giggle or does he blush like a little girl when you pull his leg with his ex or when his friends tease him about a romantic incident involving his ex? Men don’t get shy. They get surly and angry when they’re being teased about a bad incident with an ex. Only lost and lovelorn lovers like fantasizing and talking about exes with a glazed look of happiness plastered over their faces. If your boyfriend loves hearing about his ex or getting teased with her, he obviously likes being associated with his ex even now.

6. He is her Man Friday; Basically, exes don’t have to stay friends, but they can still keep in touch with each other. But it becomes a problem if your boyfriend behaves like her slave and is always ready to help her out of a spot, he’s definitely trying to stay in her good books for a reason. Only a guy who’s still in love will constantly try to help an ex out with her life, be it by being the handyman or someone to chauffeur her around. Where does that place you then.?

7. He clings onto her memories; Do you find him clinging onto her memories when he thinks you’re not around? Lte’s play the hide and seek game here. Does he hold something of hers or broodingly stares at her Facebook page when he thinks you’ve left the room? Sure, he doesn’t know you’re hiding behind the door. Does he stare at an old text from her when you aren’t around? If you notice your boyfriend dreamily staring at his ex’s face on his computer or an old photograph while tenderly moving his fingers across her image, not once or twice, please walk out of his place and never walk back in again.

8. He still has her gifts or memories lying around the house;  Oh come on, a boyfriend who still holds a stuffed toy given by his ex while lying in bed is never good news for a new lover. If hes’s still got her gifts placed neatly around the house or still use the watch she gave him as if that’s the only one left in the world…then, wait a minute, is that her toothbrush near his sink? Yes, you’re allowed to stick it up his romantic ass! Trust me, even the police would understand.

9. He hasn’t ended the relationship yet; Hold on, he still hasn’t ended the relationship with the other lady but still went ahead to propose to you? This is a tricky place to be in. This is something you’ll come to experience if you steal a guy from his girlfriend. Was he still in a relationship when you wooed him away with your sexy and beautiful body? Trust me, Karma does exist. But then if he’s just been lying to you all the while that he is single when in fact he still hasn’t broken up with the other lady, then he surely deserves to be beaten up. He is surely a snake under grass and you must quickly show him the door the moment you get to find out.

10. He hasn’t deleted her texts or still has her pictures; Does your new boyfriend have loads of his ex’s lovey notes and dirty talking texts? Seriously, which guy in his right mind keeps his ex’s old texts stored in his phone? Are they gold or diamonds?. There may be a huge list of texts, but deleting it is the right thing and only thing to do if he’s actually over her and if he’s still got pictures of his ex on his computer or in his phone or perhaps, even lying around the house, then quite rude. But it’s acceptable as long as he understands to delete or move all those photos away as soon as you voice your insecurity.

Sometimes, all of us miss our exes or think of them. But there’s a thin line between a passing thought and an obsession. Keep an eye on these signs that he’s not over his ex and talk to him about it. It’ll clear the air and help you make up your mind.

Accra-Bound Train Derailed At Tesano – 3 Injured

Another day, another preventable accident.

On Monday, an Accra-bound train derailed near Tesano. It has been confirmed that at least 3 people have been injured.

Officials have said that contrary to reports, the injuries are minor ones.

The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. There are claims however that the nature of the tracks played a role in the accident.

The CEO of Ghana Railways Development Authority, Richard Diadong Dombo has stated that the casualties were minimal because the train was moving at a speed of 5 kilometres per an hour.

He further added that an investigation will be conducted to establish what led to the accident.

Mr Dombo stated that the Authority will be undertaking a “holistic” audit of the sector to address the challenges.

“There is absolutely no question about the fact that we are taking a holistic view of this sector and I can assure you no stone will be left unturned,” he said.

The CEO said the Authority will ensure that only competent companies will be given contracts to undertake infrastructure development in the sector.

There is a lot of groundwork being done behind the scenes,” he said.

It is unfortunate but the railway sector remains undeveloped, more than a century after operations began in 1898 in the Western Regional town of Sekondi.

The Sekondi/Takoradi-Kojokrom suburban railway line which was inaugurated in 2016 for use remains closed ten months later.

We hope that this accident will not be shelved and forgotten. We want to see real results and further improvements to the train infrastructure.

Many of the young ones are sampling Paapa’s music. I don’t know why they are not here but they will regret that later,” he said.

8 Signs Of Hormone Imbalance in Women

Hormones are your body’s chemical messengers which are produced by special groups of cell. called Endocrine glands.. They travel in your bloodstream to tissues or organs. They work slowly, over time and affect many different processes including; growth and development, metabolism, sexual function, reproduction mood etc.

Hormones influence a lot of processes happening in your body. It means when your hormones start acting up, it can produce a number of unpleasant symptoms.

Changes in hormones are normal when it comes to periods, pregnancy, or menopause. But these changes can also be caused by certain medications or health problems.

1. Irregular periods

In most cases, women have their periods with about the same interval each month. But if your period starts earlier or later than usual, or doesn’t start at all in some months, it can be a sign that your female hormones (estrogen and progesterone) are off balance. If you are in your 40s or early 50s, these hormone changes can signify the onset of perimenopause. But irregular periods can also be a sign of health issues, such as polycystic ovarian syndrome. Discuss your concerns with your doctor.

2. Changes in your breasts

Low estrogen can cause your breast tissue to become less dense. Conversely, when your levels of estrogen are too high, your breast tissue can become thicker; even new lumps and cysts may appear. Such changes are always reason enough to visit your doctor to establish their cause.

3. Chronic acne

Some women experience this problem before their period starts, but it usually clears soon after. But if you’re an adult and struggle with persistent acne, it could mean your levels of androgens are too high. Androgens are ‘male’ hormones, both men and women have them. If your androgens are too high, they can increase the activity of oil glands.

4. Digestive problems

Excess or lack of female hormones can influence your digestion, too. This is why your period can be accompanied by GI symptoms, such as bloating, diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. If you experience digestive symptoms along with other symptoms, such as acne or extreme tiredness, you may have hormone imbalance.

5. Fatigue

Extreme tiredness is often caused by hormone imbalance. Too much progesterone can cause drowsiness. Hypothyroidism (lack of thyroid hormone) can cause this symptom, too. Talk to your doctor, he or she will probably order a blood test to see whether the problem is with your thyroid or something else.

6. Mood swings and depression

Experts think that dramatic fluctuations of your hormone levels or abnormal decrease in your hormones can produce symptoms such as mood swings and depression. Estrogen has an effect on neurotransmitters like dopamine, norepinephrine, and serotonin. But other hormones can also affect your mood.

7. Headaches

Headaches can be caused by a whole lot of conditions. Headaches can also be a symptom of low estrogen. Some women experience headaches during or before their period, because estrogen levels decrease.

8. Increased appetite

Sadness or irritation (which can be caused by the decrease in estrogen) can lead to what is called ‘emotional eating’. This is why low estrogen may be the reason you start putting on extra pounds. Decreased estrogen can also affect your levels of leptin, a hormone that influences appetite.

10 Things Men Hate Hearing From Their ‘Women’

Sustaining a healthy relationship is quite a herculean task as there are many ups and downs which may run into serious issues sometimes. Men do things which females don’t like and women unintentionally say things which their partner would hate hearing. Even little arguments often lead to big fights because of this habit. Women are noted to be very emotional and this is no exception even in marriage. But one thing that should be noted is that in as much as women are very emotional, men as well have feelings and they do get hurt or are angered sometimes by some words.

So here are some things which men hate hearing  from their women. Let me be alone
Husbands hate hearing this kind of excuses. Sharing your feeling with him won’t do any harm.

1.”Let me be alone”

Men hate hearing this kind of excuses. Most of the time, women become reserved after quarrels and won’t open up to their husbands even when they’re asked to do so. Also, women become very snobbish especially during that time of the month but if your man is with you even during that time, then you should you that it’s because he cares about you. Sharing your feeling with him won’t do any harm.Remember that he wouldn’t be asking if he didn’t care so just relax, control your anger and pains and share what you’re feeling with him.

2. “Never Mind, I’ll do it myself”

Instead of telling him,“Never mind, I’ll just do it myself” when probably he didn’t hear you ask him for a favor the first time does put them off.
When you have asked him to do something, let him do it.  Men hate this habit when you make faces and say “never mind, I’ll do it myself”.

3. “We Need to talk.”

Telling your man this really puts him in a discomforting situation. He becomes less concentrated even at work and thinks only of whatever it is you want to talk to him about.
Be open and straight to the point about things. That’s how men prefer doing a conversation. Saying “we need to talk” leads to a stressful situation.

4. “You should have known.”

C’mon, men are also humans just like you. They are not supposed to know everything. There are things which, he may not know and it’s up to you the wife to tell him things you want him to know especially those concerning you. Remember, men don’t usually take note of this as women do. Their mindset is quite different from yours. So hey, it’s ok, if he doesn’t know something you expect him to know.

5. “You’re going out with the guys again?”
Remember his gesture when you first asked him this question? Some space in a relationship is important and hanging out with guys is not a big deal. Allow your husband to have some time for his friends as well. There are some ‘boys boys stuffs’ that he can discuss only with his friends. Give him a break because he also needs to have fun with his friends despite being married. Being over protective will only drive him away from you.

6. “Do you think she’s hot?”
He is very well aware of what you are trying to do. You asking him this obviously shows that you are walking on the jealousy path. Even if he thinks “she is hot”, he cares about you and loves you. So, don’t do this to him. You tend to put him in a very discomfort situation with that kind of question. You have to know that you may be ‘hot’ but there’s someone definitely ‘hotter’ than you just like someone may be more handsome than him yet you are still with him. What for? Of course, not only because of looks but there are other factors as well. That’s why he also chose you in the first place. No need to brood in jealousy.

7. “Why do you have to be friends with her if you don’t have feelings for her anymore?”

Well, many people have problems with their partners being friends with their pasts. But hey, why  can’t  they just be friends? Big deal?

8. “Pick up after yourself. I’m not your mother.”
He is very well aware of the fact that you are not her mother. Even if you are annoyed, say it in a better way, though. Otherwise, it’s surely going to affect your relationship.

9.“Man up.”
Really?, never forget that ego hurts. Saying this to your man is just a ‘no no’. Imagine how you will feel if your man should tell you you are not pretty. Hurts right?. Then it’s a mutual feeling then. Men are not known for showing weakness, but when he does, remember, he’s human too. He’s got feelings.

10. “Don’t you know what today is?”
NO, as always. Please just don’t ask him this. If he’s able to forget his own birthday, then there’s actually no big deal with him forgetting yours.

Well, who ever knew.

Nollywood star actor, Jim Iyke has opened up about his much publicised relationship with actress, Nadia Buari.

A couple of years back, the two stars were seen to be in a serious relationship. However, Jim told Punch newspaper that nothing went down between them.

Below are his statements:

He explained, “Things didn’t get messy as people thought. Two people met in the entertainment industry and there was a reality show at a time that kept us together.

So, we did a smart thing anybody who found himself or herself in such situation would have done. And when the entertainment was over, we moved on to our normal lives.

For anyone who thought anything extraordinary happened, it was a live show except that it played into our personal lives too. I got what I wanted, which was followership and I appreciate the audience for watching.

She understood what she was coming into and I understood as well. We got the mileage we both wanted and we moved on with our lives. Five years down the lane, people are still talking about it.”

Guess this answers all the questions people had about their relationship; especially after Nadia Buari gave birth with someone else. Also, why Jim Iyke seemed unbothered about the news.

CEO Of EIB Network Recounts An Unsuccessful Sabotage Attempt By A Former Colleague Of His

Nathan Kwabena Anokye Ayisi, Chief Executive Officer of Excellence in Broadcasting (EIB) Network, popularly known as Bola Ray has recounted how a a colleague in his outfit somewhere back in 2014 sought to sabotage him by spreading false rumors about the former to his major shareholders.

According to him, the said colleague whose name he didn’t disclose to protect his image was in contention with the Empire Group of Companies boss to manage a subsidiary of the EIB Network, Kasapa FM. He further revealed that his colleague’s bitterness was born from the fact that he(Bola Ray), fired him after he found out that he was selling unauthorized licenses for radio transmission to individuals.

“When we started off Starr FM we also decided to get another station known as Kasapa FM. There was a guy, top broadcaster, doing so well that I wanted to bring on board….. Along the way there was an issue cos I saw publications that he’s telling everybody he has licenses that he wants to sell off and all of that so he got money from people. And people thought once he’s working with EIB Network, it’s us selling the license so they bought into that….. so I had to do the needful; I fired him and he got angry..” Bola Ray narrated

“…He didn’t understand so he went off to my major shareholders, he went to the Duffuor family to run me down… they said no we’ve tried this gentleman so we’ll let him continue. And I remember so well, 21st October, 2014; and he came abusing me and all of that. Three years on… he said he went to T.B Joshua two months ago cos he couldn’t sleep. All this while the lies that he said about me is haunting him so he’s come back to apologize…” he added

Bola Ray made this revelation when he was speaking to some selected 30 under 30-year-old budding business owners to mentor as part of his mentorship programme which he has started across the country. He advised the young business leaders converged not to be derailed by negativity which will come their way and urged them to be strong to forge forward.
