Joyce Blessing Under ‘Spiritual Attack’

According to reports, Joyce Blessing’s music career is currently under ‘spiritual’ attack.

Kasapafmonline.com close source, Nana Tuffour’s tour to three shrines at Suhum, Techiman, and Sunyani revealed that a popular female gospel artiste has taken a copy of Joyce Blessing’s latest album ‘Agyebum’ CD plus five photos of hers for rituals to be performed to end her music career.

Nana Tuffour speaking exclusively on Kasapa Entertainment of which he’s a panelist last Saturday, revealed that he travelled to meet up with a friend who is a fetish priest living in Suhum and gave Joyce Blessing’s CD for him to listen to it, but the priest emitted a long, deep audible breath expressing sadness.

He out of eagerness asked the Fetish Priest why he was sad and to his dismay, he was told that a renowned female gospel musician based in Accra had recently contracted him to ruin Joyce Blessing’s music profession and gave him five different pictures and a brand new ‘Agye Bom’ album CD of the latter.

Nana Tuffour said he was dumbfounded following which the fetish priest asked him why the sudden silence. He replied that he relates Joyce Blessing so was surprised why a colleague female gospel artiste would be so evil in doing such harm to a colleague who has done nothing wrong to deserve the attack.

The fetish priest pledged to rescind his decision and also contacted his colleagues whom he gave Joyce Blessing’s photos and the album CD to at Techiman and Sunyani to cancel the rituals.

One of the Spiritualists, according to Nana Tuffour is ready to spill the beans if called upon for an interview. A host of Kasapa Entertainment, Kojo Preko Dankwa in an interview with Dave Joy, husband of Joyce Blessing, expressed surprise since his wife has never wronged any group or individual in the industry to be treated that way.

When asked how they intend to handle the situation to avert other unforeseen attacks on Joyce Blessing’s career, he said, “We’re not perturbed since we believe in the God we serve but this notwithstanding, we will be more prayerful and also inform our Pastors to cancel every plan of the enemy against my wife’s music career.”

Seemingly, award-winning gospel artiste, O.J has also made a same astounding disclosure about self-acclaimed gospel artistes who consult and deal in ‘juju’ (Black Magic) to boost their careers.

According to him, jealousy and hypocrisy has crept into gospel in the country with artistes resorting to voodoo to outwit their colleagues.

“I Did Not Get Work Because Of My Weight” – Amanda Jissih Reveals

Radio and TV host, Amanda Jissih opened up about how being plus-size affected her relationships and career.

She told Stacy Amoateng on the RWS TV Show that making it to the screens came with some challenges including some popular TV stations rejecting her on their networks with excuses that her arms and legs are too big.

According to Amanda, who is affectionately called Mandy J, she used to be a regular guest on one of the stations and a time came for her to host a show but that was abruptly cancelled for reasons she didn’t know.

She added that a worker at the Station later informed her it was because of her body size and advised her to try and slim down a bit in order to get that opportunity.

“ I had an auditioning for a TV Show that was coming on, they loved it, everything was awesome until someone called me from the office and said that you know why they didn’t pick you? They think your legs are to big, your arms are too big … this is a very popular TV Station” she said.

The Hitz Fm Radio Presenter said she tried pills to slim down before but she won’t advise anyone to try it because it comes with heartbreaking side effects like bleeding for 30 days.

The E-Talk host on GhOne Tv says she loves her body and any man that comes knocking on her door and says anything to belittle her size gets blacklisted immediately. She believes such man will keep coming at her with such complaints later against her peace and self-love.

Amanda revealed that was why she once said: “Thanks for giving the fat girl an award” during her acceptance speech when she won an RTP Award; because she saw the mic and cameras of that particular TV Station at the event.

We Shall End Child Slavery In Ghana-Francis Sosu

The President and Founder of Youth for Human Rights Africa (YoHRA), Francis Xavier Sosu has pledged his commitment to end child slavery in Ghana. He made this pledge when he was speaking at the Global Ambassadors Institute in Oklahoma City in the United States of America on Saturday, 16th September, 2017.

The Global Ambassadors leadership Institute is a project by World Experiences Foundation which brings together High School and College students and equips them to become global thinkers and prepare them for global challenges.

The institute provides opportunities for Participants to develop cross-cultural understanding and intercultural skills so they can implement a multicultural project in their communities. The training also creates opportunities to enhance skills in large and small scale event planning, project management, leadership, and communication among others. The project provides networking opportunities with leaders and global citizens in Oklahoma and around the world.

Speaking at the Institute on the Topic “My Journey to Change the World”, Mr Sosu shared his life story of how he suffered what can be called “child slavery” while living on the streets of Accra. “I was enslaved to my world. I lost hope and was in the state of hopelessness when ‘Village of Hope’ [NGO] rescued me”, he added.

Mr. Sosu told the gathering that the only way we can change the world is to be guided by love in all we do. “Love lifted me. I believe I can change the world by my continuous demonstration of love to this world. Love can change the world of others. Let love be the inspiration for all your Global projects”, he added.

Mr. Sosu who is also the President and Chairman of Treasure of Life Foundation, an NGO based in Ghana and the United States of America, aimed at rescuing and giving support to victims of abuses and violations then went ahead to introduce the Global Ambassadors to the Treasure of Life Foundation.

According to Mr. Sosu the United States chapter of the Treasure of Life Foundation is on a mission to end Child Slavery in Ghana. “It’s been estimated that there are between 7000 and 10000 young enslaved boys on the Volta Lake. This data does not include street boys and girls across the cities, boys used on Cocoa farms, quarries and so on. “We must end Child Slavery in Ghana. I am committed to work through the Treasure of Life Foundation in USA to end Child Slavery in Ghana,” he added.

Mr. Sosu also noted that the current condition was a violation of the rights to life and dignity of all trafficked children and children in various forms of bondage. He insisted that “on daily bases some of these children are violated. However, it is not enough to do advocacy and talk about the issue. That is why through the Treasure of Life Foundation USA we seek support and partnership to end Child Slavery through education.”

On his part the Chief Executive Officer of the Treasure of Life Foundation – USA, Mr. Jeff Woodard in a brief remark said “the project would consist of a number of tours that gives projects, institutions and individuals a firsthand information about the problems so that sustainable strategies could be put in place to end the menace”.

The Oklahoma Teacher of the year, Mr. Jon Hazell who is also a Board Member of the Treasure of Life Foundation – USA advised that all Global projects must have respect for indigenous cultures. He asserted that “I believe God gave us different cultures for a reason. The reason to me is the need to inter-depend on each other. No culture is superior to others. If we learn to respect every culture we would be able to succeed in our projects as Global Ambassadors”

The Founder and Chief Executive of the Global Experiences Foundation, Mr. Akash Patel on his part pledged to use their platform and resources to create more awareness about Treasure of Life Foundation through schools and Colleges in Oklahoma to ensure that Child Slavery is ended not only in Ghana but also on the African Continent.

Heels Or Sneakers?

One can never talk of fashion without mentioning foot wears and foot wears come in different types. They can be High-heeled foot wears or sneakers. High-heeled footwear(often abbreviated as ‘High Heels or simply ‘Heels’) is a foot wear that raises the heel of the wearer’s foot significantly higher than the toes and usually worn by women. Visit an average woman’s closet and you’ll count not less than three heels there.

Sneakers on the other hand are shoes primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise. They’re also known as athletic shoes, tennis shoes, gym shoes, runners or trainers.
However, it looks like heels are fading and are now superseded by sneakers especially among women.

These days, women put on sneakers with any outfit to almost all occasions, be it a straight dress, skirts and blouses or with trousers to the office, church, workplace or party. So ladies, which one are you rocking in- sneakers or heels? Below are picture of a few celebs slaying in their sneakers:

National Identification Authority unveils new ID card

A sample of new ID card.

The National Identification Authority has outdoored a new national identification card, with the promise to launch its massive registration exercise in the coming days.
At a news briefing in Accra Wednesday, NIA Executive Director, Professor Ken Agyemang Attefuah said the Authority is prepared to embark the exercise projected to formalise Ghana’s economy.
“The National Identification Authority is ready to provide Ghanaians with a modern robust national identification system and a smart ID card that will meet the modern aspirations of the people of Ghana and carry us into the future,” he said.

The launch will officially pave the way for the rolling out of the new identification process.
The NIA has explained the exercise will start with the security agencies, schools, banks and the population in the Greater Accra Region.
The next stop of the registration van will be areas in the Central, Western and Brong Ahafo Regions. The rest of the regions will later follow, the NIA has said.
Ghanaians resident in other countries have not been left out of the registration process. An opportunity will be given to them to register for the card at a fee wherever they are.
The new identification system was an outcome of a private public partnership with the Margins Group, tasked to make the new ID cards.
Margins Group CEO, Moses Baiden described the new card as the most secured Identification card with about 14 international security features.
It also has a multi-purpose function, he told the media.
Another new feature of the card is the passport and ECOWAS logos on it, which allow it to be used in place of a passport across ECOWAS member countries.
Mr Baiden explained one of the functions of the new card is that apart from it being a national identification card, it will also be linked to one’s bank account to enhance modern payment systems.
The new ID card is expected to have a lifespan of 10 years after which it will be renewable at a fee to be determined by the Authority.

KATH hard hit by absence of 150 doctors

Authorities of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) are reeling under pressure over delayed replacement of 150 medical officers for housemanship. The absence of the doctors has forced management to reduce non-emergency medical services, resulting in loss of revenue.

Chief Executive, Dr. Oheneba Owusu-Danso, says medical personnel at post are overstretched. “Certainly it will affect our healthcare delivery to the extent that doctors currently available working would be overstretched. They would be called upon to carry out various functions  that previously these colleagues who have exited could have done,” he explained.

Dr. Oheneba Owusu Danso

The situation also means personnel on duty should brace up for tough times ahead in an effort to hold the fort in the absence of the 150 house officers,  a situation which also means a cut in the hospital’s internally generated funds.

“It will also slow down certain processes leading to ultimate care because if you are few, go to surgery, for instance, to go and operate, it would mean that sometimes you don’t have adequate numbers of assistance for the lead surgeon and sometimes when you have to actually follow up to get other resources for the surgery such as blood,  we are going to be constraint.

“And scaling down of some elective procedures is also going to mean that we are going to lose some revenue and some surgeries rescheduled during the period will mean that some patients are going to have some longer waiting time,” he explained.

Only emergency and in-patient services are being prioritized under the current circumstances. Checks at the hospital during a visit on Thursday revealed patients who had reported for elective services such as surgery left disappointed.

Five clinical directorates; surgery, medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology as well as trauma and orthopedic and others have been operational. Less than 600 patients had been seen at the time of our visit, compared to about 1000 on a normal day.

Dr. Owusu-Danso says the hospital is already feeling the heat of the situation.

For now, patients seeking care, other than emergency services, may have to wait until the Finance Ministry  gives financial clearance for new house officers.

Dr. Owusu-Danso fears dire consequences in the coming weeks, though he assures efforts are being made to avert a crisis.

“This problem has become more acute this week. Going into next week, we predict that, severity could worsen and that is the reason why we believe that emergencies should continue but depending on a daily assessment of the situation, elective cases and those cases that may not require emergency interventions may be scaled down,” he warned.

Don’t Collapse Private Schools- IFEST boss To Gov’t

The New Patriotic Party should never be credited in history as the one that contributed to the collapse of private Senior High School system, IFEST boss has said. Despite the immense benefits of the Free SHS policy, Dr Prince Armah believes a more comprehensive approach can be adopted to protect private schools which are on the verge of extinction on account of the new policy.
His remarks come hours after Heads of Private Senior High Schools addressed a press conference Wednesday to protest the veritable harm they believe the Free SHS policy will have on their existence.

“We consider the development so far as undermining the contribution of private senior high schools in the educational sector. It is as though the government is intentionally trying to collapse all private senior high schools in the country,” General Secretary of the Conference of Heads of Private Second Cycle Schools (CHOPSS), Joseph Dzamesi said.
According to him private schools were misled into believing they will be drafted into the free SHS policy but days after the policy implementation nothing has happened.
Joseph Dzamesi said not a single student has made any attempt to enroll at the private schools, a situation he believes threatens the existence and sustainability of the private institutions.

He said over 10,000 jobs in the private schools are at risk of being lost as a result of the free SHS.
The Free SHS Policy, a flagship education programme of the government seeks to increase access to Secondary Education by removing the burden of paying fees on parents.
Under the policy, the government would foot all bills including feeding fees, tuition fees and all other charges.
Joseph Dzamesi called on the government to, as a matter of urgency, include Private Schools into the Schools Placement system so that at least they can also benefit from the policy.
With private schools charging higher fees than public schools, he said parents must be made to pay for the difference in the cost of education in the private schools.
Reacting to the development, Dr Prince Armah, said the NPP which is private sector led government must be proactive in addressing the concerns of the private school heads.
Calling for Ghana to go the Ugandan way, the IFEST boss said a decision to include private schools in the free SHS policy will solve three challenges that are likely to bedevil the policy.
“Although in the advanced education systems, private schools are largely not considered under free secondary education programmes, we can contextualize our situation as Uganda did (free secondary education is also offered by selected private schools). Instead of posting 800 students at Methodist Girls at Mamfi (exceeding their capacity by 400) for instance, we can increase the physical spaces at secondary schools by including the private schools in the school selection and placement process.
“However, parents and students could be advised that by choosing private secondary schools, they agree to pay to the schools any additional fees not covered by the free SHS programme. In this way, we would be killing three birds with one stone: reducing pressure on our public secondary school system by controlling class size and teacher-student ratio, helping sustain the private secondary schools with open access to all at a reduced cost to parents, and affording parents and students a choice of private or public secondary education whilst under free SHS,” he said.
He challenged the private schools to provide high quality secondary education that can compete with the best public schools in Ghana.

Speaking to the Graphic Showbiz, Mrs. Muntari revealed that her husband was a huge driving force behind her acquisition of the longstanding franchise. “Sulley was actually the one who pushed me to take up the franchise which had been dormant for about two to three years. He said, ‘Menaye, I don’t see anyone doing this other than you, so go for it,” she revealed.
The former queen of the beauty pageant crowned in 2004, Mrs. Muntari revealed that after making initial contact with the former owners, and a subsequent meeting or two in New York, she was able to acquire the franchise. Commenting on the synergy between herself and her husband, Mrs. Muntari pointed out that the support in their marriage goes both ways. “We are there for each other. I go to most of his games and support other things he does and he also does same for me,” said Menaye Donkor.
