One Week Celebration Of Ebony’s Demise Slated For Sunday Feb,18
The family and management of the late dancehall artiste, Ebony Reigns have chosen Sunday, February 18, 2018 for the one week celebration of her passing away.
A Facebook post made by publicist of Rufftown Records and Midas Touch, Kofi Anderson, “Ebony Reigns’ one week celebration is slated for Sunday, February 18, 2018 at St. Martin De Porres School, Dansoman.”
Meanwhile, Friday 16th February, 2018 would have been the 21st birthday of the late artiste.
Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, passed on in a gory car collision on 8th February, 2018.
The ‘Maame Hw3’ hitmaker was returning from Sunyani to Accra after a visit to her UK based mother. Two others, her childhood friend and P.A, Francesca Yaa Nkansah Kuri and a soldier, Atsu Vondee who were with her also died on the spot.

She was an awards-winning dancehall artiste widely known for producing hit after hit songs. Some of her songs include; ‘Dancefloor,’ ‘Date Ur Fada’ ‘Hustle, ’‘Maame Hwe, etc.
Ebony had won for herself some awards within her short period in the music industry. Some of these awards are; Artiste of the year at the 2017 Bass Awards, Favorite Female Musician at the 2017 People’s Choice Awards, among others.
Many Ghanaians were very hopeful of she winning the Artiste of the year at the forthcoming Ghana Music Awards.
