Get the Best of Poetry & Music at Word Up Live

Word Up Live takes place on January 19th at the Dass Ethiopian Restaurant in Westlands between 6:30 amd 9:30 p.m.

The afro-jazz night will feature performances by Kimani, Yung Bob, Rix Poet, Chagala, Gazlum Wafalme and rapper Jemedari Muziki. More musical performances by Blaq Hawq and Makeeda & Band. The MC will be actress and DJ, Pierra Makena.

Word Up Live every third Saturday of the month. The event’s main purpose is to give exposure and market established and upcoming poets, musicians and all other forms of art. Established artistes are given an opportunity to come and talk about their work and also mentor upcoming artists.
