Leonardo DiCaprio is perhaps one of the most talented actors in Hollywood. He has been on our screens since some of us were kids but surprising he never won the most coveted award in film till recently!

It’s baffling how Lupita Nyong’o won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the movie 12 Years A Slave having been nominated only once. For Leonardo DiCaprio, he has been nominated five times in 22 years and only managed to bag an Oscar in 2016.

Leonardo’s moments were in 1994, Nominated for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? 2005: Nominated for The Aviator. 2007: Nominated for Blood Diamond, 2014: Nominated twice for The Wolf Of Wall Street (Best Actor and Best Picture) and finally 2016: Nominated for The Revenant.

The Revenant is one the best movies to have come out of Hollywood in recent years. Leonardo pushed himself to the limit while shooting the movie; he endured subzero temperatures in Canada and Argentina, he was mauled by a bear, he had to sleep naked inside a horse’s carcass; in short just watch the Revenant if you haven’t yet.

Anyways, Leo was nominated best actor for 2016 Oscars in a category that had Matt Damon (popularly of The Bourne film series) and other dope actors.

After 22 years of being trolled and laughed at, Leonardo DiCaprio has finally bagged the most prestigious award in film, 2016 Oscar for Best Actor.
