For all their attempts to act civil and friendly to each other, there is no doubt that Kidero and Sonko harbor a great and bitter rivalry toward each other.

Everything about them is totally opposite save for the fact that they are politicians in the same capital and all are very rich individuals. They have exchanged bitter words in the past and their style of politics is a clash in itself.

Today, the real face of their rivalry came to fore when the Nairobi governor appeared before the Senate Public Accounts Committee. The two started a heated verbal exchange with Sonko accusing Kidero of being a murderer accusing the governor and some of his allies of being involved in the murder of a property owner in Kilimani estate.

This prompted the two to turn physical trading blows and resulting in the adjournment of the session. Outside, the senator confirmed that indeed the altercation had happened and that the governor had threatened to hit him before throwing a punch which he blocked. This is just the latest as first reported by Nation.

We will update you as we get more on the story.
