Forget Kenya Police’s Metal Houses, The Uganda’s Police Force Sleeps In These Grass Thatched Mud Houses

The Kenyan police force especially the Administration Police division has for long decried their living conditions especially the granny shaped like metal structures.

These are a common sight in many AP posts and usually houses the officers and their families. This has been the bane of the officers welfare but they can take heart that things are looking up unlike their friends’ situation back in Uganda.

The police in some stations stay in mud walled and grass thatched houses. The houses are also in poor condition and seem to be falling off. This state of affairs only came to fore when the leading opposition leader Kizza Besigye having been blocked from visiting hospitals and schools exposing their poor state.

The opposition leader thus decided to pay a surprise visit to the Bukatube Police Station to access how the Uganda police force were leaving. These are the deplorable conditions he found;
