Following Nairobi Half Life, the Next Film in the Series Release Date Announced

Last evening, the release of the next One Fine Day Films feature was finally announced. A poster for the third film and second feature in the series was also released.

Something Necessary comes out on January 25th, a day right in the crosseye of what is probably the brokest week of the entire year. It is a follow-up what might be Kenya’s first real blockbuster, Nairobi Half Life, the film follows two individuals’ personal journey after the events of the civil unrest after Kenya’s 2007 election.

One thing I can say, the poster is so much better than Nairobi Half Life, which also, according to the people who worked on the film, is also a better film. Might be hard to believe considering the almost unanimous reception NHL has received not only in Kenya, but around the world. The trailer for Something Necessary will be out soon.
