The much anticipated video for the song Mungaki by fast-rising Papa Muyelele is finally out and is set to be officially released tonight, September 6th, across all media outlets and if you don’t know Papa Muyelele by now then you must be out of touch with Gospel music.
He is remembered for his Hit single Omwami that did extremely well in the UK & West African charts throughout last year, regardless of getting not that much airplay locally. Gospel artists should borrow a leaf from this multi-talented singer who can switch from Dancehall to worship to Lingala like it was a hoola hoop.
Mungaki is a high tempo, Afrobeat Gospel tune with a very impressive video.
He is releasing it around the same time that other known Gospel artists are releasing their videos including Jimmy Gait, Hopekid & D.k and aims to win a local audience.
Asked how much it cost him to shoot such a nice video Papa Muyelele only replied by saying, “There is no cheap dream, every dream is expensive and you have to pay the price, if it means selling shoes to achieve your dreams then do it!”
