Exposed: Meet The Two Women Who Use Razor Blades And Alcohol To Carry Out Grisly And Illegal Female Circumcision Here In Nairobi City (Photos)

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is illegal in Kenya but that doesn’t mean the primitive practice doesn’t take place in the country.

CNN’s journalist Nima Elbagir, had a date with two female ‘surgeons’ who mutilate girls in the name of female circumcision.

The women identities were kept secret but they explained how and why they mutilate girls. The operating ‘theatre’ seems to be somewhere in Eastleigh though CNN didn’t disclose the exact location.

“It is important, because when girls don’t get cut when they are young, they go after boys while they are still young and we don’t want that. We don’t want them to get spoiled, that’s why we do it.” One of the lady told Nima.

The girls are blindfolded then led to the operating theatre where they are held down and their legs tied to a rope.

The women use razor blades to slice whatever it is they cut then use ethanol spirit which is basically alcohol, to stop the bleeding.
