Even with a D- in Maths, Singer Akothee shares her KCSE results

Who ever knew that Akothee sat for her KCSE in 2003? Well, the singer has shared her results on her gram to reveal what she scored in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

In a detailed post the Benefactor hit maker revealed that she scored a C+ after dropping out of school for a couple of years to take care of her chidren. Akothee says she got married to her ex husband at the age of 14 and was not able to complete her secondary education.

I dropped out of school & got married at the age of 14 , I had 4 kids by the time I was 20 years old , I served my mother in law as a house girl for 7 solid years since my then husband was a student.

During that time she had 4 children and had to work as a house-help for her mother in law for 7 years. According to her, she had not lost hopes of returning to school to complete her education. After 10 years of being a submissive wife, the singer went back to school and managed to score a C+ even though Mathematics was a bit harsh on her.

I collected myself in 2003 & decided to go back to school after staying in the house as a house wife for 10 years , I scored C+, I was the 3rd best in our school & the first girl , it’s never too late , you can achieve what you want if you go for it , maths
