Enter Cosmic Homies, The Group Some Camp Mullah Remnants Formed After Breaking Up. Their Kind of Music Will Leave You With a lot of Questions

A random Internet dictionary defines Cosmic as “of, relating to, or concerned with abstract spiritual or metaphysical ideas“. The source further defines “homie” as “an acquaintance from one’s town or neighborhood, or a member of one’s peer group or gang”  Therefore cosmic homies would me interprated to mean “Acquaintances  who subscribe to abstract spiritual or metaphysical ideas. Where I’m I going on with this? You ask? Stick around..

Camp Mullah broke up  in 2013 becoming one of the most talked about musical split-ups of all time. They left behind a trail of broken hearts and unfulfilled dreams. But that has not been all, thee MC Africa, Taio Tripper (one of the baddest rappers in the 254) and Miss Karun found each other after two years of separation, together with Marushka & Joseph Kiwango (new entrants) they formed the group “Cosmic Homies”- with  plans to expand the current perception of a musical ‘genre,’ the current perception of ‘life on Earth’ and of Consciousness itself.

The cosmic homies is therefore  a meet of  4 artists seeking a higher form of transcendence(existence or experience beyond the normal or physical level)  through music. They are no longer the camp mulla of the old but a new band of complex individuals  exploring their musical freedom by exploring musical realms that no one has ventured into before .

The Kenyan market might not be ready for this “enlightened genre”  but it is something worth listening to, it is slow, confounding but strangely soothing..

Listen to this:

Camp mullah might be no more, but the new band is worth  listening to, for those who want to experience music beyond the physical realm- Music for the  hippies and geeks.
