DP Ruto Sends A Controversial Yet Dire Message To Obama Ahead Of His Visit To Kenya

Barack Obama’s imminent visit to Kenya is already a highly anticipated activity in the country, with many Nairobians expecting to have a hell of a day as the most powerful man on earth makes his return to his father’s country for the first time since becoming US President.

Obama’s visit comes days after the US President courted what many in Africa feel is controversy after allowing same sex marriages and homosexuality in the US.

Obama’s nod for the forbidden practice has already got tongues wagging, with Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe telling him to marry him because he is supporting homosexuality.

Here in Kenya’s things are not different either. After Senator Mike Sonko condemned homosexuality, DP Ruto has come out to strongly condemn the practice, saying that Kenya and its people will not tolerate such a thing.

Ruto said that Kenya is a religious country and there is no way religious people would create room for what the Holy Books forbid.

Ruto’s message comes at a time when the man who has embraced homosexuality is visiting, and analysts argue that it is aimed at warning Obama against raising any topic about the same.

This was stressed by Kigumo MP Jamleck Kamau who said that Obama should not utter a word about homosexuality when he comes later this month.
