“Don’t Bring Opus Dei To The CBK” Aden Duale Tells Off Central Bank Governor
Aden Duale is back in the news and not for sitting next to a primary student in class but for what he is best at, loud mouth.
The Garissa Township Mp has come up with a rather wild allegation but then again nothing is too wild for Aden Duale. Having survived the revelations from the Waiguru affidavit he is back and yesterday while debating on the Banking amendment Bill, the Mp decided to aim his guns to the CBK governor, DR. Patrick Njoroge.
While everyone else is praising him and his Order for the discipline he has began instilling in the banking industry, Aden Duale has found fault with it. Speaking in parliament Duale is quotes saying “That sect within the Catholic is very rigid and that cannot be transferred to the running of Central Bank. Mr Speaker, we have a Governor of Central Bank who wakes up one morning and sends a memo to all the banks and says any Kenyan who wants to deposit Sh 500,000 must fill a form as if you are appearing before the DPP or before the Director of CID,”
He was referring to the new regulation which requires those seeking to withdraw sums of 1 million and above to fill a form explaining their reason for not opting to use electronic ways that allow for easier tracking. He also called for the CBK governor to take responsible for the bank interests.
