DNA Reveals Why He Parted Ways with Grandpa Records
In June, Grandpa Records’ talisman, DNA, parted ways with the renowned record label after 2 years of a great partnership.
In a statement released by the label, his contract with Grandpa Records ended in may 2014 under a mutual agreement and both parties never intended to renew. And that he’d served and completed his contract professionally no bad blood or rift between Grandpa records and DNA.
Anyhow, DNA has spoken for the first time since parting ways with Grandpa.
According to DNA, his departure from GrandPa Records was a personal decision after his two-year contract expired, reports Ghetto Radio. He says he is venturing out in pursuit of other interests putting to rest the claims that he left camp ‘due to ‘irrevocable differences.’
“Being at the label since 2012, I felt it was time to find more space for myself,” he says.
DNA says he wants to grow his personal brand and become a continental name a platform he says Grandpa Records denied him.
Besides developing his personal brand DNA explains that the exit will also give him more time to spend with his family.
