Did You Know the Founder of Europe’s Biggest Awards is Kenyan?
Shocked? Not yet. Believe it or not it’s not only Lupita that’s flying the Kenyan flag high out there.
Meet Pauline Long. A Kenyan living in the UK. Pauline is a television presenter, entrepreneur, philanthropist and founder of Europe’s biggest award ceremony for lack and ethnic personalities in entertainment, film, fashion, television and arts (BEFFTA).
Many Kenyans don’t know this unsung heroine because she doesn’t like beating her chest and only comes to the limelight when it’s necessary. In Europe, though, it’s a totally different story. Pauline is a star who rubs shoulders with the who-is-who in showbiz. Hmmm…reminds me of that proverb about prophets not being appreciated at home.
Pauline’s achievements speak for her:
Named in Black women in Europe Power list and African Woman of the year in UK and recently awarded 2 Lifetime Achievement awards by UKAA and HUHO. She has also been awarded the highest African Recognition Honour and Heroic award alongside President of Malawi Joyce Banda.
As one of eleven inspirational women in Europe listed on Black Women in Europe Power list, the
multi- award winning mother and wife needs your support.
She has just been nominated for a UK national mainstream award, one of the biggest TV awards in UK; and that’s why she needs your support to clinch that.
