Did David The Student Con This Woman Over 100k?

David the Student appears seems to be in trouble after a woman came out claiming he conned her over one hundred thousands shillings using false pretenses.

The woman Grace Mboya was speaking to Word Is when she said the Churchill Show comedian borrowed the money in in June last year and he has not repaid the amount despite having been given a repayment moth of 20k every month for ten months. In seeking help to obtain the said amounts which are KES188,650, Grace went to Parklands Police Station where a letter was written to the Langata Police Station to to have them arrest David.

The letter read in part ‘

“This office is investigating a case of obtaining money by false pretense against one David Kang’ong’o…This office is requesting your honourable office to help us apprehend him and once arrested, to contact this office.”

On his part, David the Student, says this is a case of a business deal that did not materialize resulting in losses for the two parties. Apparently he and the lady and others were organizing a concert in Eldoret in which Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinumz was to feature. However, the event did not happen hence the losses incurred.

David the student explains that he did appear to Parklands Police Station with his lawyer and the lady was duly informed there was no case. The matter still remains unsettles as the lady insists the comedian had even pledged to pay part of the debt Monday last week but he did not show up on the agreed date.
