By winning in the competitive segment, the Bongo artiste has not just cemented his place as one of the biggest artist in the continent but also pointed to his growing influence at the continental stage. Nothing portrayed this more clearly than the love and affection he got from the fans in a predominantly white audience given at the ceremony held in Milan, Italy.
Having won every major award in the continent and dominating MTV awards as well as the AFRIMMA, the only award left is the Grammy in the World music category recently won by Angelique Kidjo. Congratulations to the winner and easily the most hardworking artiste in the East African region.
