Despite Being Heckled Look What Uhuru Kenyatta Did To This Poor Jobless Youth In Kisumu (Photo)

Last weekend during his trip in Kisumu, the President was met with the rather demeaning spectacles of booing crowds cutting short his speech and a Governor who was urging people to bring down his portraits.

While previous presidents have either avoided further trips or resorted to some sort of punitive action, the president instead steered of controversy and actually directly impacted on the life of one daring and brave Kisumu Young man, Philemon Awande.

This man took his chances and managed to slip through the Presidential security shouting ‘Rais, Rais’ a move which saw him allowed to get to greet the president and thus put forth his problems and request. Philemon who is a resident of Obunge slums narrated to the president how he was unemployed despite his job search having graduated from St. Paul’s University where he was pursuing a course in community development.

The president took his number and promised to call him, and call he did. Okay, not the president but a representative of the executive, a lady who put him through the president and in the phone conversation the president himself promised the young man a job. Well, it actually did happen after the young man had sent his CV and qualifications he was called by a director of the NYS to report to their Nairobi Offices this week on Thursday. Well, each dog has its day.
