Dead Body Discovered Outside Popular Night Club Rafikiz!

Ladies and gentlemen, something tragic happened early Sunday morning that resulted in a tragic and regrettable loss of life for a yet unidentified young man. And while the details are as yet unclear, this is what is known about the incident:

Early Sunday morning, residents of Nairobi’s Langata area woke up to the disturbing discovery of a body lying near Rafikiz. At the time, it was still unclear as to whether the man had been drugged or was dead.

As the day progressed, I was informed that it was suspected that the young lad had been beaten to death by thugs. Rafikiz had nothing to do with the man’s demise. However, residents faulted Rafikiz for allowing young men and thugs to congregate around it’s business premises as this isn’t the first time incidents of muggings and violent robberies have been reported near the popular nightspot.

The area in question is a well known hangout spot for matatu “manambas” (matatu conductors) of the “squadi” variety -the type who are infact idle youth seeking to make a few coins hanging from matatus when the crew take a break.
