Davido Coming To Kenya? Not Until Organizers Part With This Crazy Amount Of Money

Davido is one of the most highly sort after African artists and with good reason. the lad who is just 21 has an album under his belt (Omo Baba Olowo) which loosely translates to Mr. My father is a richman or I am the son of a rich man which has sold alot of copies. He is also the frontman for his record company HKN but more importantly, he has a crazy fanbase.

He is the most relevant African star of the day and with all his hit songs, it is only right that he would be a price giver, not a price taker but when I heard or rather read the amount of money he was demanding for an appearance in Kenya I was blown away. The lad is asking for a whooping 4.4 million! That translates to 8.8 million Naira.

Davido, Naija’s second biggest export second only to oil has through his agent and representative asked for 4.4 million! Is it worth it? Well, that is upto the organizers to determine but as for me, I think it is totally worth it!
Why? Because you can be sure this is a concert that will attract the right LSM crowd. None of the ratchet thug types who are a mainstay at reggae events, none of the ob types who are a staple at dancehall concerts.
