Daily Nation On The Spot Again Over The Bomb That Was Tried To Be Sneaked Into GSU School Where President Uhuru Was The Chief Guest
Last Tuesday March 1st, President Uhuru presided over the passing out parade for General Service Unit (GSU) recruits at the GSU Training School. Apparently some people were trying to sneak in a bomb at the function, at least Daily Nation said so!
Daily Nation says a former policeman and his accomplice were arrested at the main gate of the General Service Unit training school in Embakasi as they tried to sneak a bomb into the GSU training school.
The newspaper says the suspects were carrying several components that could make a powerful bomb if assembled.
But the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet, begs to differ with the Daily Nation alarming bomb story.
Boinnet through his verified Twitter handle said there was no attempt to sneak a bomb into the GSU training camp.
The police boss clarified the issue saying someone was found with a motherboard of a small transistor radio in his bag at the security and not components to make a bomb.
