Controversial SONU President Babu Owino Shocks Many With A Ksh 14 Million Birthday Party Budget (Photo)

Birthdays are supposed to be fun affairs. And sometimes if you have the money, you throw a party, call friends over, buy endless bottles and make it rain like nonsense.

But when you are Babu Owino, one of the most talked about, astonishingly wealthy and visible student leaders, you don’t just throw a party. You THROW the party.

This morning, the Nation woke up to a circulating photo of what is supposed to be Babu Owino’s birthday party financial plans.

We saw the photo and contacted Babu immediately to ask him whether what we were seeing was true. And sure enough, Babu CONFIRMED to us the photo doing rounds was actually true. And that he was indeed doing a Ksh. 14 Million party!!!

The party, which is slated to go down on the 10th of this month, promises to be one of the most outstanding if not grossly expensive events held in Nairobi this year or any other year.

For starters, Babu will be flying in controversial South African politician Julius Malema and his whole entourage. Also, there shall be guests from The Land Of Haile Selassie, Ethiopia. You should also see the money he’s set aside for entertainment, security, ushers, Food and drinks.

When asked where the birthday party would be held, Babu said that he couldn’t disclose the info right away due to ‘security concerns’.
