CNN’s *$$-Kissing Gambit Earns Them One On One Interview With President Uhuru Kenyatta

Thought they were too big to flirt with Africans to gain favor? CNN has been on a mission to woo Kenya into its pouch ever since they made a blunder with an itchy gaffe.

Remember the infamous ‘hotbed of terror’ slur that the American broadcaster made in an attempt to warn President Obama of the imminent danger ahead of Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2015?

Of course CNN apologized after Kenya canceled a multi-million shillings advertising deal it had struck with the Atlanta based broadcaster.

The issue was so serious that CNN had to fly in its global Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Tony Maddox to personally apologize to President Uhuru.

Their charm offensive didn’t immediately work on Kenya but as time elapsed, its effects can conspicuously been seen.

(In whisper) I have heard Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) restored the initial advertising deal it struck with CNN.

Well, President Uhuru has also granted CNN a one on one interview. The broadcaster’s Fareed Zakaria, grilled Baba Ngina on issues that are not relevant to entertainment news.
