Churchill Show, Ann Kansiime and Diamond Platinumz winners in Youtube Sub Saharan Africa Awards

Churchill Show and Jimi Ndirichu were among the Kenyans who won in the just concluded YouTube Sub Saharan Africa Creators Awards.
The best YouTube creators in Sub- Saharan Africa were feted in a colorful ceremony that happened in Johannesburg, South Africa.
 
Google held the inaugural event which saw eight countries selected including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal.
 
Commenting on the impact of Youtube as a platform to tell stories Youtube CEO Susan Wojcicki said,
Churchill Show emerged as the Top Subscribed Creator in Kenya while Jim Ndirichu won the nonprofit channel award for the region.
Another Kenyan, Kangai Mwiti won in the Makeup and Fashion category. The regional broadcaster award went to Channels Television of Nigeria.
The awards considered only creators within the 8 selected countries and those with over 50,000 subscribers.
