Check Out a Screening of Free Nairobi Half Life

Film fans who still haven’t caught the year’s finest local film now have another chance to watch it. Nairobi Half Life will show at the Goethe-Institut next Monday, 10th December at 2:30 p.m.

The screening is courtesy of Kwani Lit Fest 2012. The fourth edition of the biennial gathering of writers, poets, literary academics and theorists from all over Africa takes place between 9th and 16th December at various venues around the city.

Nairobi Half Life also had a screening at the same venue last Friday as one of the Kalasha Film & TV Awards nominees. The film tells the story of Mwas, a villager who goes to the big city to try out his luck and pursue his dream as an actor but ends up having to make do on the wrong side of the law.
