Long queues of anxious customers jammed banking halls, ATMs and other financial establishments associated with Chase Bank ever since CBK put the bank under receivership.

Citizen TV’s Swahili anchor Swaleh Mdoe was among panicked Kenyan who flocked Chase Bank subsidiaries to get their hard-earned moola.

The anchor was spotted at Rafiki Microfinance, a subsidiary of Chase Bank, and the only logical explanation to Swaleh’s presence there was that he was desperate to get his money.

CBK Governor, Patrick Ngugi Njoroge, had assured Kenyans Rafiki Microfinance wasn’t affected by Chase Bank’s crisis.
