Celebrities React To Mohamed Ali And John Allan Namu Expose On Lead Poisoning On Poor Villagers In Mombasa

Yesterday the country and indeed the whole world was shocked by one of the most revealing and shocking exposes done by KTN’s dynamic duo: Mohamed Ali and John Allan Namu.

The expose showed how Metal Refinery EPZ factory, an Indian-owned metal refining factory recklessly poisoned residents of Owino Uhuru village in Mikindani by releasing lead metal through smoke and fumes without giving into consideration their health and well being.

Until the revelation, many had died, miscarriages experienced and others are still staring at death thanks to the poisoning they have gotten from the industry.

Even after the industry was closed down in 2014, it is crystal clear that the owners and indeed the government agencies like Nema did it recklessly and carelessly.

This has greatly angered a majority of Kenyans who are now demanding immediate actions on the perpetrators of these heinous and inhumane acts.

Celebrities have also aired their views and here is a sample of some of the reactions they gave:

huddahthebosschick Good morning Kenya. I woke up like this…… We live in this country and continent where the poor don’t get justice at all…. I was totally saddened by the story last night on KTN about LEAD poisoning on kids esp, Reasons I don’t like watching local TV. We see soooo much yet so little can be done!! I’d rather stay blind to some things coz I see humans but I don’t see any humanity in this country and as an individual there’s nothing much I can also do!!!!
