Celebrated Award Winning Singer Defends Kenyan Forces on the Westgate Mall Looting Allegations

Sunday, the government finally admitted that looting took place at Westgate Mall during the rescue operation last week. Then, Wednesday, reports and a footage taken at Art Caffe showed empty beer bottles and the accusing finger pointed at Kenya Defence Forces soldiers.

And now KORA award winner and afro fusion singer Achieng Abura has come out to defend the KDF soldiers on the looting allegations. In her opinion;

“Stuck up there waiting to confront possible death as hours dragged on…I am glad they had a few drinks to help them face whatever was coming! Those few drinks cannot be compared to the lives they saved. This is just simply unkind to our underpaid, unappreciated soldiers.

Not right….They were in there for three days. Keep it real and let us support our forces and appreciate what they did without trying to belittle their service in the face of all types of adversity. Truly, if those few drinks matter so much…let us pay for them and stop this disparage!”
