CABU GAH DIARIES: Jaguar,Here Are 5 Reasons Why You Should Immediately Quash Your Beef With Nigerian Singer Iyanya. Number 3 Is The Most Obvious.

I find it quite ludicrous for Kenyan singer Jaguar to think he can sustain some sort of full-on beef with Iyanya….An actual artiste and singer from, well,Nigeria…The Capital of African music. It’s laughable. Really.

Jaguar is not new to musical beefs…and the creme of his compository altercations is the much-publicized Prezzo beef that,to date, seems to have NEVER petered.

Well,I can barely remember who between Jaguar and Prezzo won the beef season, neither do I remember what the beef was actually precipitated by.

But if I put two and two together, well,it must have been caused by either Prezzo’s claims of dominance in the World of Bling and flamboyance or Jaguar’s meteoric rise to the top…of not just the musical charts but also the money chain.

It was an ugly beef…Not Jay Z and Nas ugly. But,still, ugly.

And now Jaguar is back at it again…Attempting to drag a Nigerian superstar to some beef for what he calls ‘negligence, arrogance, lack of mutual support and laziness’ from Iyanya.

Well, let’s all take a minute and laugh. Done? Good. Let’s proceed.

Who in their right minds thinks that they can win a musical war with a Nigerian artiste?? Come on,please!

Its a NIGERIAN artiste! For Lord’s sakes!

These people pretty much control the industry! They’re the epitome of African music. They’re on all cable channels…they scoop all continental awards, they actually ball…HARD,they are fabulously wealthy, they’ve got ACTUAL talent, they enjoy massive support from their home fan base, they are trendsetters and they’ve shaped the direction of African music for decades now! Brother, they collaborate with REAL American superstars! And as for their music videos….well, beyond exquisite.

And You want to drag such a calibre of people to your beefs? Brother please….Not so fast.

Jaguar,HERE ARE 5 REASONS WHY YOU WILL NEVER WIN THIS IYANYA BEEF.

1. HE’S NIGERIAN.
Yes,the simple fact that he’s Nigerian is enough reason for You to go slow on attacking him. These people have seen it all…they’ve been down that road before…they’re masters or the game and they actually don’t care. And with the kind of arrogance and bloated egos they posses it’s practically impossible to dent, hurt, break or destroy a Nigerian. Musician or not. It’s a tall order. I swear. These guys are invincible.

2. UNLIKE YOU,HE’S GOT NOTHING TO LOSE.
To be honest,Iyanya or Davido or Wizkid or D’Banj have got absolutely nothing to lose no matter how much an East African artiste disses them. Diamond tried dissing Davido. And he retracted his comments real fast…And made peace even faster! Naaah,The person that stands to lose in a West-African East-African beef is the East African! The West African guy is the famous guy here. The West African guy is the powerful guy here. The question will always be; We know this West African guy,but whose this East African guy again?? And what does he do??

3. NIGERIANS WILL TOTALLY SHUT YOU OUT.
Its foolhardy to pick a fight with Iyanya because he refused to help You penetrate Nigeria’s crowded music market…And expect that, after the beefs, the taunts and the insults,You will NOW penetrate Nigeria’s crowded music market. No,You won’t. Nigerians are fiercely loyal. And shamelessly faithful to their own. They will shut You out permanently if they notice any hostility or aggravativeness from You towards them. They are ruthless dictators of culture. And fierce protectors of their heritage. And gems. Attacking a Nigerian artist is committing musical suicide…because, well, the tables could be turned on You so quick. And so fast. You may never again recover from the aftershocks. They will shut You out from their airwaves. And their legions of fans will maul You so bad on Social Media. Beef season will turn into a bloodbath real quick.

4. HE ISN’T SOOO INTO THE BEEF HIMSELF….
From what is filtering to the media, the one person who seems hellbent on instigating an irreparable onslaught on the other is Jaguar. He has been quoted on innumerable media clips and public events bashing and haranguing Iyanya. But Iyanya,on his part,is either not tooo excited with the simmering beef…Or is too busy to participate. Either way,a beef is not a beef until BOTH parties are not only actively involved in it but also fervently unrelenting as far as a quash is concerned. But Iyanya seems to be not sooo much of a beef type…And while Jaguar is just calling him out and branding him names, Iyanya is busy dropping insanely addictive tracks like “Oreo” which, already, has not only started blowing up charts and making millions of African women wet,it has racked up over a million views on Youtube.

5. YOU ARE NOT RAPPERS…
Beef was, initially, meant for rappers. Not singers. Now,Iyanya is a singer…a very enchanting one at that. And Jaguar, well,is a singer, too. When singers spur,it is never classified as a ‘Beef’. It has another name…a disagreement. Beef is exclusively meant for Rappers. Not singers…well, with the exception of Chris Brown. Beef provides rappers with a classic opportunity to NOT only record classic diss tracks but also monumental works of art. A lã Ether by Nas. Or Vaseline by Ice Cube. Or 2pac’s Hit Em Up. If this beef was between Khaligraph Jones and say,Ghana’s Sarkodie…It would be a moment to cherish. A historical turnaround. But Bro,You’re a singer! So is Your collaborator-turned-foe Iyanya. Beyond the media interviews, there is little You can do to buttress this beef. And flip it to the next level. It’s stunted. And stale….And no,Don’t even think of dropping an Iyanya diss track. No please. We’ve been through enough torture already.

So Jaguar please, You are one of our best. Kindly heed my advice..and go slow on this whole Iyanya situation.

And if You DON’T believe Me,Well, ask Ja Rule what happened after he picked up a beef with 50 Cent.

Ask Benzino what happened after he tried dissing Eminem.

And ask Cam’ron what happened after he took shots at Jay Z.

Their careers ended. Permanently.

Ask Kenyan rapper Mwafreeka who was forced to APOLOGIZE to Nigeria’s Rapper Ice Prince after attempting to diss him.

Hii watu ya Nigeria wachana nao Ndugu….
