CA Deals A Big Blow To The Most Popular Radio Shows Including The Famous Maina Kageni’s Breakfast Show

Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has cracked its whip on TV and radio stations; its directive mostly affects shows Kenyans can’t do without.

Radio Stations which are fond of discussing topics centering on hot bedroom matters will be forced to completely tone down on their discussions as CA has banned sex talk during the daytime.

CA says there will be no interactive call-ins or discussion sessions that involves adult-only content during watershed period which it says is between 5am and 10pm.

The communications regulator explained the only adult-only content that will be allowed to be discussed on radio during watershed period are educational programmes.

As if that’s not enough punitive measure for radio stations, CA boss, Francis Wangusi, says radio stations can’t bust cheating spouses or expose those who default payments. Mr. Wangusi says the other party must be informed beforehand.

CA did not only slap radio stations, ‘Panda Mbegu’ preachers who are notorious on radios with their “send your contributions…” have also been banned .

CA says preachers who implore faithful to send them money for all sort of blessings, those who instill fear to join their faith or perish in hell fire et cetera, will have no place on Radio and TV.
