Burundi’s Pacifique Bundled Out of TPF5 Before Nomination Night

The Saturday show of Tusker Project Fame 5 wasn’t meant to be an eviction one, as the newly introduced starlets were set to make their debut mixed and matched performances in groups of three as the drum up to the first nomination night on Sunday 10th June 2012.

It proved to be quite the challenge for a number of the TPF5 contestants as they were teamed up and had to merge their voices for the first time. These includeded the groupings of Big Joe, Nancy and Eunice as well as Samantha, Damien and Ruth.

This assignment may have seemed like a piece of cake at first, but in the growth phase of the competition, the showcase was a seemingly a struggle.

When the contestants were done and waiting for an overall assessment of their performance from the judges and the teaching staff, the TPF Academy Principal, Hellen made a startling announcement.

Hellen told Burundi’s representative Pacifique that he was being dropped from the Academy as the staff felt that the singer could not match up to the level of compeptition they expected him to. Utter shock was clearly evident on Pacifique’s face as he clearly did not expect to be bundled out of the house that early or quickly.

The arena was silent as the news came but he gallantly accepted his fate and bravely declared that he would not be giving up his passion for music.

22 year old University Student, Pacifique Gashuri is an ardent footballer and quite adept at the Guitar, according to Tusker Project Fame’s official description of him. He enjoys Reggae and Afro pop, and we eagerly anticipate his first release in any of these two Genres. Farewell Pacifique!!
