Bongo Hip Hop Head Professor Jay Elected Mp

As the Tanzanian presidential results trickle in, some of the parliamentary candidates can start early celebrations. Among this is Joseph Haule well known to music fans as Professor Jay. Prof J is the MP elect for Mikumi constituency.

He was elected on a Chadema Ticket which is one of the opposition parties that formed a coalition to rival CCM. the artist is well known for his social conscious songs many an outcry against the bad leadership experienced in the country especially by MPs. It is thus going to be interesting to see how he is going to lead life in the political arena having carried out a successful campaign that resulted in a hard fought victory.
