‘Being A Socialite Is Taking the Easy Option’ Winnie Odinga Throws Major Shade to the Likes of Huddah and Vera

Winnie Odinga, CORD leader’s youngest daughter is quite a candid and eloquent lady. Sure she has been raised in one of Kenya’a leading political families and is a beneficiary of elite schooling but its her grasp and delivery of both the simple and the delicate that makes her quite intriguing and appealing to listen to.

She graced KTN Friday briefing yesterday and she was fabulous even as she answered and side stepped whatever Betty Kyallo threw at her. She opened up on quite a lot of issues including her relationship status and why she was single.

While she said she is not looking for anyone at the moment, she was pretty critical of the fact that it is quiet hard to date a man in Kenya due to the limited socializing opportunities with it being church or in the clubs. She talked politics too with the deft hand of a seasoned diplomat before getting her parting shot where she called for more strong female role models of the younger generation.

Margaret Kenyatta was mentioned as one of the older generation role models but she decried the lack of enough younger strong women as the space is filled with vixens and socialites which she said are taking the easy option out. Here is her interview courtesy of KTN
