K.O – South African Hip Hop artist of “Caracara” fame has announced his first East Africa media tour dubbed K.O East Africa Tour – planned for Kenya and Tanzania this September 2015. Ahead of his anticipated arrival, K.O says, “I’m excited to be traveling to East Africa for the very time as an artists and representing SA Hip Hop. I’ve heard great things about the love and support this part of the continent has for my music and now it’s time for me to strengthen my connection with my fans out there and to formally introduce myself to the beautiful East African community. Definitely planning to release some of my futures projects there soon and looking forward to working with the much talented acts from this region.”
The multi award-winning Cashtime Life artist debut album Skhanda Republic is critically acclaimed, birthing hit singles like the 2014 release “Caracara” – the biggest South African Hip Hop/Rap song in recent history, also the first South African Hip Hop music video to surpass 1 Million YouTube views. Other recent K.O hits include “Son of a Gun”, “Skhanda Love”, “Mission Statement” and “Nobody But Me” with Tanzanian songbird Vanessa Mdee.
The K.O East African Tour will see him visit top TV and Radio stations in Tanzania and Kenya. He is also confirmed to showcase alongside Kenya’s rap wordsmith King Kaka at Nairobi’s top hip hop event Nairobi Rapsody (17th Sept 2015) at Ebony Lounge, Westlands. Taio Tripper will control the decks in the event powered by WhatsGoodLive and Hennessy Artistry.
K.O will be a guest at Kenya’s Storymoja Festival (18th Sept 2015) at Nairobi Arboretum at an Artist Talk Backevent on the discussion: to what extent does music (hip hop) define the African narrative. He will be joined by two of Kenya’s top rappers: King Kaka and OCTOPIZZO among panelists and experts, in a session that will draw a youthful audience. K.O will share more on his musical journey and success: from Teargas to being a co-founder of Cashtime Life – top South African music entertainment and lifestyle company. The session managed and curated by music and entertainment Publicist Anyiko Owoko will be produced by WhatsGoodLive in collaboration with Nairobi Rapsody and Storymoja Festival.
During his visit K.O will collaborate with East African musicians and app developers in a bid to expand his networks and diversity. He will also be involved in charity work. T
