Bahati’s girlfriend comes from an influential family! Meet Diana Marua’s father who is a famous cancer advocate (Photos)

Bahati’s ‘prayer partner’ Diana Marua comes from a family that is well known for cancer advocacy in Kenya. Her father is a leading figure in the fight against stigma for cancer patients.

Marua together with her father, Joseph Omach, received a certificate and awards from Lupita Nyongo’s mother and nominated MP Isaac Mwaura during a seminar organized by Childhood Cancer Initiative (CCI).

Childhood Cancer Initiative is non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2009 by Marua’s father with the aim of making a contribution of lessening the burden of childhood cancer in Kenya through the provision of patient-care support for the needy.

“My Dad has strongly pushed the agenda of fighting the stigma of Cancer in Children under his organization, Childhood Cancer Initiave! I am proud of the big steps we have made on this Initiative I will always be your number one support in all you do. You have taught me well. I appreciate you Daddy!” Diana Marua praised her dad.

Joseph Omach made headlines in 2013 when he visited the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga hospital in Kisumu as part of its psycho-social support program for childhood cancer patients. Watch the video by KTN below:
