Bahati Faces The Bitter Truth In Uganda!

The young gospel singer was utterly shocked by the action of Uganda’s media when he visited the Banana Republic a while ago.

The East African Common Market Protocol allows goods from countries within the region to import and export goods without facing tariff.

While the protocol allows free movement of goods and people, it seems it forgot about music and musicians.

Kenyan music ISN’T played in Uganda like the way country’s media plays Ugandan music. And this is the bitter truth that confronted Bahati when he toured the Pearl of Africa.

During a chat with Kiss FM, Bahati revealed he was shocked to learn Ugandans were not giving other East African artists airplay.

He says Savos give their artists almost 100% airplay. Bahati now wants Kenyan media to replicate the same in the country in order to give local music the much needed boost.
