Another Tanzanian Superstar Stranded in Nairobi

Few hours ago, I told how ‘Prince of Bongo’ Diamond Platnumz was unable to catch his connecting flight back to his homeland after fire gutted down part of terminal three of JKIA. It now emerges that yet another Bongo superstar was inconvenienced by the mishap.

Ommy Dimpoz was travelling to Burundi via Nairobi on a KQ flight and upon touching down at JKIA at around 5AM; he and other passengers were advised to disembark from the plane and guided to the Cargo Centre at the airport and informed about the fire misfortune.

It’s from there that they were picked by buses from JKIA and booked at different prestigious hotels in Nairobi pending official communication from the national carrier.

Speaking to ‘Mzazi’ Willy M. Tuva on Mambo Mseto, from his Hilton Hotel room, the “Baadae” singer divulged that he had a show to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadhan, Eid al-Fitr, in Bujumbura where he was expected to perform his brand new track “Tupogo” featuring Nigerian artist, J Martins.
