American Iconic Rapper DMX Scraps Kenya off His To-Do List
Menacing, muscular and magnetic American rap artist, DMX, has cancelled his Kenyan tour after he and the Kenyan promoter failed to agree on his payment.
Heads Up reports that the hard-core rap top dog is set to come to Africa for a tour in a bid to make a music comeback. According to the promoter, DMX’s management quoted an outrageous figure that he couldn’t match up to.
“My sponsor, a well-known alcohol company was ready to offer KSh8M but the artiste wanted KSh7M”, complained the promoter adding, “This would have left me in losses.”
The promoter is now hoping to land another artiste since he cannot be refunded the cash he had spent on the booking the venue for the show.
DMX rose to fame after the deaths of icons 2Pac and Biggie, whose deaths threatened to dent the rap industry.
