Amazing Uchumi’s Reaction After These Kids Were Shown Using Uchumi Branded Paperbags For Jerseys (Photos)

Uchumi’s financial status may be in the doldrums  but they still posses the ability to do philanthropy.

The company’s poor financial performances may have seen them sack former CEO Ciano as well as close up a number of shops and still put up several outlets for sale. However, they have scored big with the public with their actions towards a groups of kids in Uganda.

Last week, a photo emerged on social media showing a group of kids playing with paper bags branded Uchumi for their jerseys. This led to a push for Uchumi to get the kids proper jerseys. Despite having closed their Uganda outlets and not planning to get back until after a year, the company responded by asking help in tracking down the kids.

Thankfully they found the young kids members of Hearts FC a local academy and bought them full kits. The retailer may be out of the market but they have ensured they remain in the hearts of the shoppers in the area. Here are the beautiful photos.
