After Lupita Got A Day Dedicated To Her In The US, Two Other Kenyans Set To Be Immortalized In New York

As we continue to shun our heroes locally they keep on getting one accolade after the other abroad.

This week started with the news of Lupita getting a day dedicated to her in Harlem and now two other celebrities are set to be inducted in a Hall of Fame. Legend marathoners and cross country distance runners Tegla Lorupe and Paul Tergat are set to be inducted in the New York Road Runners Hall of Fame on Thursday October 29th.

Both Lorupe and Tergat are former world record holders and have won the New York Marathon as well as transcending the athletics field to become philanthropists and ambassadors with several organizations. They will be joined at the ceremony by three other legends including the marathon legends, Haile Gebrselassie and Paula Radcliffe and finally award winning journalist Marc Bloom.
