Julie Gichuru Steals Another One On Fellow Kenyan Journalists Getting The Chance To Host Indian PM (Photo)

Julie Gichuru has come a long way from radio to TV to owning her own media firm.

While as an anchor at Citizen her profile rose and along with her show African Dialogues she was able to meet, host and interview the high and mighty in Africa and beyond. While her interviewing skills have at times placed her in the cross hairs of critics, she keeps on getting the biggest gigs of hosting visiting heads of state and other dignitaries.

During Obama’s visit to Kenya as POTUS, many had expected either Larry Madowo or Jeff Koinange to land the interview. However, none of the two was close to Obama any time and yet Julie Gichuru got a slot to welcome the US President along with his Kenyan counterpart for the GES summit.

This time she has done one better. With the Indian Prime Minister in town, she has landed the job of hosting him at the UON for his address. It sees even without a prime time slot in the bigger media stations, she still has clout. Here is how she celebrated the occasion:
