Despite Being Kicked Out Of Nation Job, Top Cartoonist Gaddo Wins International Award (Photo)

You cannot put a good man down, not as long as he can still do what he is good at.

This is the perfect case Kenya’s most famous cartoonist and one of the leading ones in Africa, Gaddo.  After he was unceremoniously shown the door by the Nation Media Group, Gaddo landed on his feet and found work at DW and also placed his work on his online platforms.

In just a couple of months, the multiple-award winning cartoonist has won another accolade. Gaddo, along with with Zunnar Katunis were awarded the 2016 International Cartoon Peace Award in Geneva. The two were handed the award by former UN Secretary General Koffi Annan.
