Why Was Jaguar Conspicuously Missing at the SportPesa Festival? We Tell You Why
The 2016 Sportpesa Festival was in full gear, with over 30 of Kenya’s finest artists in performance. There was lots of social games to be played including Bubble foota, Foosball, Bungee run, Rock climbing, Play station 4, Inflatable football pitch, Target paintball, Selfie zones, Rap cypher battles and much more!
However, among the 30 top Kenyan artist, one big name, perhaps the biggest Kenyan performer, was not at the festival. In fact, there was tittle tattle that the organizers of the event, SportPesa, could not afford Jaguar!
Close sources intimate that a section of the artists seated backstage were heard asking where Jaguar was and when he never appeared when all artists were settled, they thought the organizers kept him as a surprise guest.
When Ghafla contacted Jaguar’s producer and manager, Philip Makanda, he said the artist was never contacted by the organizers to attend the 2nd anniversary of SportPesa’s existence in Kenya.
Instead, Jaguar was at Pumwani Secondary School where his foundation, Jaguar Youth Empowerment Foundation, was awarding the winning soccer teams in the Wakulima Market Youth Football Tournament.
