Death Along The Eastern Bypass As Gangsters Are Crushed By Speeding Lorry,Smashed By A Powerful Car And Hundreds Of Police Officers Poured Onto The Scene. (WARNING : GRAPHIC PHOTOS)
The Eastern Bypass is never short of jaw-dropping drama. This is the same road along which nascent actress and apparent lover of speed,Nana Gichuru lost her young life in a gory,macabre crescendo of life.
And not long after that sobering incident,that shook the nation and left quite a disturbing image in our minds for weeks,yet another equally ghastly accident went down along that very road yesterday morning involving a lorry,a Toyota Harrier and two gangster assassins on a freakishly speed motorbike.
Now,according to details,which still remain not authoritatively confirmed and expounded upon,some two thugs were on a mission to overtake and kill a motorist along the Eastern Bypass who was driving a Toyota Harrier.
The occupant of the Toyota Harrier was whispered to be some powerful guy in the Kenyan Military. And as he was driving along the Bypass,towards Thika Road,he noticed some two guys riding on a boda boda and speeding up to catch up with him.
Sensing danger,the owner of the Harrier drove on and drove even faster. Not relenting,the gangsters rode even faster,snaking their way through the other cars and pushing even harder to catch up with the guy in the car ahead of them.
Once they were clearly close to him,they decided that this was the opportune time to strike. And finish their wicked assignment.
Now,they were around a bridge-y area,with metal rails on both sides of the road. And as the gangsters were attempting to catch up with the Man in the Harrier,they noticed an incoming lorry. And that’s when they decided to finish their job quick to avoid being crashed into by the Lorry that was booming it’s way down the road.
Quickly,the gangster on the passenger seat plucked out a pistol, and pointed it towards the man in the Harrier. Clearly,they wanted to ride right next to his car. And then fire shots into his car. And then kill him on the spot. After which they’d ride away into hiding.
But upon seeing the guys on the motorbike pointing a gun towards the guy in the Harrier,the Lorry driver quickly sensed that these were thugs and decided to finish them himself.
And so,driven by human duty,he accelerated,increased his speed and blasted his lorry right towards the guys on a motorbike effectively ploughing into them, knocking them off their motorbike,crushing into them,blowing their limbs off,severing their heads,reducing their motorbike into smithereens and sending their dead bodies flying across the road into the plains yonder.
The guy in the Harrier too wasn’t spared in the ensuing madness. As he was driving fast,and attempting to swerve his car and hit these gangsters, he was also caught up in the drama. As both him and the lorry collided head-on,crushing the motorbike gangsters between them. And having his car torn and his windscreen Smashed into particles.
The bang from the accident was so loud and resounding it was heard miles and miles away. Screams quickly ensued. And blood was sputtered allover the road,and onto the metal rails and allover the cars.
The motorbike itself was later found deep under the lorry… Severely smashed and absolutely demolished.
Not long after that,scores and scores of heavily-armed police officers and Army men were poured into the horror scene. Less than an hour later,there were close to twenty police cars.. And tens of police officers littered allover the bloody scene.
Soon enough,Army boys came too. Descending from their huge jungle lorries and with huge guns and powerful artillery hanging from their shoulders.
Quickly,the man in the harrier,who was the target of the murderers,was pulled from his mangled car and driven off to a hospital.
And then the traffic started building up. And building up. And building up. It got so bad that the traffic lasted a staggering 6 hours! It took someone along that road 5 full hours to get to Mombasa Road.
There were hundreds of cars parked all across both sides of the road.
The madness didn’t end until much much later. Women gasped and cried. And men stared in anger and trepidation.
The sight of the badly crushed bodies lying around for hours.
